  1. Not seeing that price come up. I'd be loading up!
  2. https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/under-armour-iso-chill-neck-gaiter-for-men This is what I'm rockin. It flares at the bottom, covering most of the shoulders. Doesn't ride up and keeps the full neck covered.
  3. Does anybody know if the LRPRA boat ramp on the Occoquan Res. is open to the public?
  4. Check out the new Gill stuff. It's all 40% off at americanlegacyfishing.com. Gill makes really nice stuff.
  5. Went out to Leesylvania from 930 to 2 today. Paddled around Powells creek. Caught a 13 incher around the bridge and my first snakehead. Had no clue it was that shallow in there! Not a great day.
  6. I'm also a fan of the Arditos. I haven't fished many travel rods but this one is by far the best. It feels almost like a one piece. My 7ft MH casting was put to work on the Big O last year.
  7. So do we think all the creeks on the potomac will be completely blown out tomorrow from all the rain?
  8. Gotchya. Appreciate it man!
  9. Sorry to jack the thread but could you tell me what carbontex you got for your ss sv?
  10. When I fished back home in NY, I almost never threw hardbaits (except for briefly in the spring and fall). The majority of the year I was throwing jigs, frogs, chatters, and soft plastics. You'll do fine without the hardbaits! They're a pain in the butt anyway. Fewer decisions = more time fishing! Good luck.
  11. Most FLW and BASS elite events are on YouTube.
  12. I only ordered 6 packs of Trokars...4 different packages, haha.
  13. I used to smash'em on sluggos when I was 10. I think my first 3 lb smallie came on a 6in pink one.
  14. I got a little confused about shipping. The For Tips Section says $25 but if you click the form it says $50. Wasn't sure if it's $50 for everything within warranty or $50 plus $25 shipping. I'll call at some point to clarify.
  15. I'm not seeing the coupon either.
  16. It looks like they have a new warranty program called the Excellerator. Seems awesome but I can't figure out if you have to send a broken rod to them or not. Anybody know anything about it?
  17. Tried to dump the yak into Roaches Run yesterday but the parking area was closed. Ended up dropping in at Daingerfield Island. Fished all the way to 4 mile run and halfway up it. Saw tons of bank fisherman trying for carp (saw lots of carp). Fished almost 5 hrs without a sniff. At least it was a nice day.
  18. I actually haven't even used it yet, unfortunately. It looks and feels incredible on my Helium 3. Spooled her up with 20lb fluoro for skipping jigs. Hopefully I'll take her for a spin next week.
  19. Some brands are excluded, Simms is probably one of them.
  20. The Zodias is hard to beat for $200. Super light, very sensitive, crisp blank, and powerful. They look sweet too. My 7'2 MH gets the nod for 3/8 to 1/2 jigs, t-rigs, and swimjigs.
  21. Yep, Sportsmans Outfitters is legit. I just got my Coastal SV from them (through their Ebay store front) a month or 2 ago. Great price and free, fast shipping.
  22. Got the email this morning but I already placed my order 2 days ago! They also had all the things from yak gear I needed for the 20% off too...which I already ordered off the YakGear site last night! Gahhhhhh
  23. I might agree with you if you were talking about some desolate area in northern MN or some of the small lakes back where I'm from in NY but we're kinda in an urban area...If you thought it was a secret, it probably wasn't a secret. I hate overcrowded lakes as much as the next guy but I love fishing more. You can either deal with it around here or move to Manitoba.
  24. Awesome! Thanks for the heads up!
  25. Dicks has some Trokar stuff buy 3 get 3 free. They have a nice neko rig kit that you finess fanatics will love. Put any 6 qualifying items in your cart (one of the kits as one of the 6) and it drops it to $10. Steal for like 18 trokar neko hooks, nail weights and an o ring tool.
