  1. Put dawn dish washing liquid on the wire you are trying to pull it helps slide thru.
  2. I think the box you looked at has a circuit breaker in it.
  3. I don't see the need for a rod for worm fishing & another for jigs when you can do both on one rod. Now if you are wanting to have 2 rods on deck 1 with a worm & the other with a jig I would go with 2 .Shimano Compre rods. They have a worm & jig rod for $100. Get a M/H & a heavy & a spool of Seaguar Abrazx Fluorocarbon. By using backing you will have enough to spool 2 reels. Those rods have exposed reel seats & by laying the line over your finger you should have no problem feeling the bottom. I have just spent $220 for you, order from Tackle Warehouse & they will ship for free
  4. Go to a auto parts store & buy a syringe that is used to fill your battery when it is low. It also can be used to extract some if you over fill it. They are not very expensive..
  5. After talking to several retired Navy Sonarmen I ordered one. It was shipped today. They all said pretty much what Todd has said above.

  8. The best way to get your best settings is for you to take your manual on the water & play with the unit until you get it to where you like it. For starters the auto features will work well for you.
  9. Some of the time they will see the shadow of your bait & they hit it as it hits the water.

  11. You can probley find a Shimano Curado 201B5 for around $80 & it will work just fine.
  12. I think Bankbeater has it right. It's to defuse the rough water during a storm . It helps keeping the boat from getting so beat up during a storm. I have seen these things before.
  13. I use marine grease which works well for me & I always have it in the back of my truck.
  14. I own a bunch of the Shimano Calais line which includes the antaras. If you can buy that reel for $200 or less buy it. It is well worth that money. They are very smooth reels.

  23. yesterday as I was tieing the boat to the dock to walk up & get my truck to load the boat I took my life jacket off & dropped it on the seat. about that time the sky opened up & the rain came down extremely heavy. I loaded the boat & pulled it to the camper the jacket inflated. a puddle had formed on the seat. It's a sospenders model. I am going to rearm it & be more careful.
