  1. I would use the transom saver. It will keep the stress off your boat.
  2. PA does not have title for boats made before 1997. Any boat purchased, transferred or sold, must be titled if the boat is: * Powered by an inboard motor, including personal watercraft, 1997 model year or newer. * Powered by an outboard motor, 14 feet or longer, 1997 model year or newer. * Currently titled in Pennsylvania. * Currently titled in another state when Pennsylvania becomes the state of primary use. Once a boat is titled, it must remain titled by all future owners. Any boat can be voluntarily titled. Boat titling assures the buyer of a boat that the seller has clear ownership of a boat offered for sale. Some lenders won't finance a boat without a title, so securing a loan to purchase a boat may be easier if the boat is titled. Titling is also a deterrent to boat theft. Boat dealers and other purchasers are more certain that someone offering a boat for sale has the legal right to do so. http://fishandboat.com/faqregt.htm#1

  4. Just connect your depth finder to one of the batteries.
  5. I would say no. My guess is it would trip at a lower amperage.
  6. I am not sure. Does the breaker actually say it is rated for 12V? You can use a breaker with a voltage rating higher then the voltage you are using it for.
  7. They would have lost some of their charge.
  8. How is this setup working? I just suggested it to someone on another site.
  9. Is it legal to have the extra lighting lit while driving down the road? In PA you will get a ticket.
  10. I would get the biggest battery that will fit, size and weight, were you want to put it. I would also get the 10 amp charger. You can never have too much power.
  11. In my opinion. the 640 would be better. it give the best detail for depth. The width is all history.
  12. that'll work. I would check with some of the many sponsors here. They maybe able to get you the same thing and you are helping the site out.
  13. http://store.schumachermart.com/ssc-1500a.html A quest 2612a is a good one as well. I use it when my boat is outside because it is water proof.
  14. If you are only running the fish finder a small 12V 12AH battery, or a motor cycle battery, will last you a few days fishing.
  15. I have a ACDelco that has been in use since 2000. I use it has a starting battery and a trolling battery.
  16. Everything wears out over time. How long have you been using the 50 amp breaker? Is your motor drawing more than 50 amps? What is the amp rating of your motor?
  17. Sounds like something is heating up and breaking electrical contact. Do you have an automatic reset circuit breaker? It could be the speed resistor, motor armature, speed control board or anything else current passes through.
  18. Here is my 16' V bottom. Yes you can stand in it without an issue. I have had 3 adults standing and fishing in it.
