  1. i got tons of football jigs
  2. looking to buy some northstar jigs...whats the best jig type for throwing in any cover? the most versatile jig head
  3. ive just started using jigs this winter and im not looking back. caught a few good ones. the bite on a jig is so different compared to other lures. although i do agree braid is a must especially if your fishing heavy stuff and its hot out.
  4. ive caught dinks all day long on 10" worms bigger than they are. im sure a 12" worm would be no issue.
  5. ive got two rods rigged with 20lb p-line floroclear and love it. its for my jig rods but same goes for texas rigs. this line casts so easy and its easy to manage with line conditioner but my rods recommend up to 20lb line
  6. i normally use a rage chunk on my 3/8oz jigs and occasionally the standard craw with a bit cut off
  7. yeah i fish where the bottom is nasty. in some spots its weedy, in some spots its sandy, in others its rocky and such. figured rattles wouldnt hurt.
  8. So forgetful that I realized I should have noticed if my jigs had rattles or not attached. Do they really matter in muddy/stained water? Im sure it would have helped me compared to no rattles on a football jig in 10-15ft of muddy water
  9. had to have been caught between 10-15 ft deep. caught a dink earlier in the day before this one
  10. I was using a black/blue football jigs 3/8oz with a rage chunk hopping and dragging constantly down to a channel by the dam in the lake i fish and he slammed it so hard a part of the rod where the bottom of the reel sits into made a cracking noise. he slammed it as i was about to bounce the jig up and hooked himself. such a good fight. didnt know a weight. any guess?
  11. p line floroclear. i have it in 12lb and 20lb for finessse jigs and casting/flipping jigs. ive never had any issues with breakage or abrasion. i use the polomar knot for it and never had any issues. its good priced for a 300yd spool.
  12. yeah i have all baitcasters and one rigged with 12lb fluoro already and id mostly be using craw type baits and occasionally worms
  13. would 12lb fluorocarbon line be light enough?
  14. What size/weight are good all around? and what type of jig types? figured since im starting to get heavy into jig fishing why not add shaky head to my techniques when the bites are tough.
  15. not sure. there are two lakes...one drains into the other by a dam and the lake with the dam, by the dam is super deep with structure and channels/drop-offs. if that makes sense. its kind of like a cove in that area. on the banks are laid down trees and some brush piles. heres a pic of what im talking about. part of the lake on the left is deeper in that cove. that walkway is a dam.
  16. Ok so today til friday is reaching highs in the mid to upper 60s and night lows in the 40s...now my question is where will the fish be this time of year with a few days of nice weather like this? im strictly jig fishing to learn it more so im trying to figure out where to start
  17. went back today and nothing. the little they had was mostly gone and nothing on any other isles had .97 price tags. picked up a few terminator jigs anyways
  18. going back to see if my local store still has the sale today
  19. rage craw products are awesome. ive used the rage craws texas rigged and the rage chunks are good too. very durable and the action is so alive
  20. p line floroclear is good. i have 12lb and its smooth and easy to manage. i have some 20lb floroclear being shipped for my jig setup.
  21. so the super chunk jr works for 1/4oz to 1/2oz jigs?
  22. what trailers do you use? i normally use rage chunks
  23. basically anything with a that ends with a .97 price tag is 50% off?
  24. I need some trailers for my jigs. I use 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2oz jigs. This time of year i figured the bass wouldn't want something too crazy for action and the Zoom small salty chunks look ideal. Are they too small or just right for the jig sizes I use? or do I need to put bigger chunks on bigger jigs? would the action of the zoom super chunk be too much?
  25. broke down and bought some p line floroclear in 20lb. i have it in 12lb and love it. i couldn’t stray away from it on a side note-i use the palomar knot...how many wraps would i need for 20lb?
