  1. TW doesn't seem to carry the E5 in Lefty... My other Curado is awesome. My buddy is a big Daiwa fan but I was never really into those... Expect the ones I can afford. Thanks for the options guys! Please keep em coming.
  2. Black Fury is my #1 inline spinner. Has produced Smallies, largemouth and a ton of nice Northerns. Good luck, solid editions for sure.
  3. I'm looking to complete a new crankbait setup and I'm looking for the right BC for me. I have a Shimano Curado 200E7. Its been a great reel and it will become my worm \ jig rod paired with a Loomis BCR. I just upgraded a St Criox Avid to the Legend Bass Big Cranker (ugly Blue Stick) and I'm looking for the right reel to pair it with. Thinking used Shimano Chronach or maybe new Abu STX... So many choices although has be lefty. Thoughts and opinions welcome. Was thinking 5:2 or 6:4 for reel speed... 7 seems too fast although for lipless and spinners is OK. Thanks!
  4. Smallies are nuts! That's why I love them so much. I've caught some really nice ones on big inline spinners. Even caught one on a Jointed X-Rap and a huge gliddin' rap fishing for Pike.
  5. I have a ton of Mepps & blue fox inline spinners... Number 2 - 5 all produce for me from time to time. Black Fury with a tail is my biggest producer. I also fish for Pike and the #5 black fury is deadly. 7 fish on 12 casts earlier this year.
  6. This pretty much sums up my thoughts as well. Maybe add Skitter Pop and DT series as well. They all catch fish for me.
  7. LC Pointer and Husky Jerk are options as well. The LC has a rattle and the HJ is just a nice slow perfect suspending JB. I have every X-rap color as well. Olive, silver and black and perch are normally my best colors here. Bleeding Olive Flash works too although attracts more Pike than bass.
  8. LOL I may have got that idea from a Pike master on this board. Pointer is a well spent $15 in any size.
  9. Great fish!!! I just started my annual fall quest for massive Pike. I did get a 41 incher a few weeks ago but that wasn't even fall yet.
  10. T-rigged with an internal weight is working well for me. 3/16 gives it that slow spiral of death feel at least in calmer water. Recently switched to this after running out of fat IKAs.
  11. Yeppers! In two days I caught 30+ fish on the LC Pointer 78 (Sunfish)... I just ordered a few more from TW. The 100 & 128 are deadly pike lures year round as well. Water temps around these parts are low 60's ATM.
  12. Same here: Husky jerk X-Rap Pointer Great bait for fall and spring.
  13. Cheap mono backing is the way to go... I use Suffix 10# backing with 30# fireline. I've been really happy with this setup.
  14. Nice!!! Experiences some similar weather in these parts over the weekend. Also had great success on pointers and IKA despite difficult conditions.
  15. Yes, please stay away! Especially from my spots. Champlain is seriously one of the best fisheries around.
  16. I use braid and a 6'6 rod... I would highly recommend using a loop knot to help your perfect the action.
  17. Sweeeettt!!! Great pics
  18. Fat IKA producing near cover and around lunker hangouts (Fallen timber, bridges near deep water etc). Caught 40+ LMB and Smallies this morning using (4) IKAs in watermelon with black flake.
  19. #5 Strike King Crank in Sexy Shad has been red hot for Northerns lately... Caught a 41" one this evening on my last cast!
  20. Nice fish!!! Congrats!
  21. ^^ This. Don't go Spook or Sammy fishing without it.
  22. On Lake Champlain I've been catching a ton of smallies and LMB on the Fat IKA in Pumpkin green with black flake. #3 Gammy EWG on Floru or light braid. I can't find the baby craw around here so I've been using a Net Bait Paca Chunk which has produced nicely on jigs.
  23. Had a great weekend of fishing recently... Look at this pig that my 7 year bagged!!! He caught this one on a Strike King #5 in Sexy Shad.
  24. Strike King Cranks #4 through #6 in Sexy Shad are red hot for me right now.
