@islandbass, don't forget emery cloth. Very important to use to clean pipe and fitting to ensure a good water tight install. What year is your house? If your house is old enough, chances are they used cast iron for the drain. The threaded end you have sticking out now could very well be the same connection to the house drain. You may be able to get away from soldering all together. Good luck on your install

Can you assemble the new adapter to the tub spout and take a pic? It almost looks like you have to cut the existing pipe anyway, based on an install instruction on a Delta Faucet Cassidy Spout, it looks like that adapter can be installed about 1/2" to 1 1/4" from the tiled wall. One other thing I'm noticing. The new spout has a shower diverter on it, does the old one have a diverter on it or is the diverter on the shower valve? How do you switch from tub filling to shower? Take a pic of your water valve. Like @12poundbass mentions, take off the O-Ring prior to soldering, you can put a wet rag under the part your soldering like @deaknh03 mentions. Clean both the pipe and adapter surfaces with emery paper (plumbers sand paper), flux the pipe, install adapter in place and heat the adapter with a torch. Add solder to the edge of the pipe and adapter all around and it should just flow in. Wipe the joint with the wet rag while hot and wait til the part cools down before installing the O-Ring. Again, Teflon tape the threaded end that attaches the spout to the adapter. Install the spout. No need to over tighten the spout. Run a small bead of clear silicone caulk around the spout. When you turn the water on, you may get some nasty colored water for a few seconds, this is normal.

I removed an old Symmons Shower Valve in my house and replaced it with a Moen. I had to open the tiled wall to get at the valve and sweated the new one in and used these items. Finally had the first games (doubleheader) of the season after 3 weekends in a row of rainouts. My 14 y/o son just started pitching last year. In this outing he went 4 innings and gave up 2 runs, 1 unearned. Fastball, curveball and changeup were all working. Needed Clorox for the curveball, it was filthy yesterday. Sorry, proud dad here.

Are you using round nose pliers? I make the jig if I'm making multiple baits and want uniformity, but I need a couple of different pliers to "clean up" the bends. The R-Bend is a bend that needs "cleaning up". Usually you're making an overlapping bend and pulling back with the tag end to complete the arm. As far as the natural curvature of the wire from the coil is concerned, I really don't worry about it, the bends on bass lure are minimal. Not gonna lie here, I do tune up the lure prior to use. Good luck, would love to see some of your creations. This one started out as an inline but, as usual, my mind got carried away. Turns out to be a great multi-species bait. I can't really say that I had that much problems unless I really mangled the wire during fabrication.

A spook. Bend the line tie a bit and cast parallel to the dock. The spook will want to walk right under the dock.

Will say, that I do it this way only to save a vessel from having to be washed. Although, peanut butter and banana is my choice.

Definitely a grass/swim jig. Swim/Pitch/hop in weedy cover with little to no rock at the next break. Who knows, could be a winner.

All posts above gave great advice. One thing I do consider when fishing a spinnerbait is depth. Single willow will roll better along the bottom than say a double Colorado. Thinner blades = fish faster, tighter spin, more flash, less lift - I.E Willow blade Wider/Bigger blades = fish slower, wider spin, less flash, more lift - I.E Colorado blade Because there is always a compromise in life - Indiana blade. Good middle ground blade

It was nice to see the Sox wake up a bit this weekend. Hopefully that series in St. Pete will carry over to the upcoming homestand.

Bluegill and perch are the primary forage in the waters I fish, I have yet to see a live gill or perch change their color so I stick with something that mimics them. If that doesn't work a Rapala gold/chrome pattern works great.

The fuel oil tanks if not in use have to be removed and treated as hazardous waste. Prior to moving into our home we had the option of getting rid of it ourselves or have the seller's do it. We opted to have the seller's as that tank was marked with their identity. Can't remember why they mark the tanks with the owner's identity, that was a long time ago. Not sure if this regulation is still in practice.

Go as light as possible with your jigs and t-rigs. Switch out your line to a heavier lb test as well.
