What's your goal with the drop shot? Seems like you're trying to keep the bait up for some reason. Casting a drop shot as a shore bound angler does have limitations, so the question is, are you trying to stay above weeds by using a drop shot? You need to remember that the further out away from you, the more horizontal you line is and now you bait is close to bottom. Basically an upside down c-rig.

I really can't believe that with 5 days left, this raffle/donation to a really, really good cause would only generate less than $400 with a minimum donation that is less than shipping costs from TW!? I emailed the folks a Catch-A-Dream on Sunday to let them know about my participation is in this raffle and about the $50 tackle prize. I personally can't use lead head jigs here in MA and told them that if I win the prize, I'd like to have the tackle sent directly to them. They also now know that the lures being raffled are from a longtime member and sponsor who produces a real quality product(s). A representative e-mailed me back on Monday and was so appreciative about the tackle donation, but he was even more appreciative of this whole raffle gesture @slonezp is doing here. So, seriously, if you got a bunch of change under your car mat, please help these kids out.
