  1. Isn't there a Chronarch E5 in lefty? The ratio may be a bit lower, but the IPT may be the same or higher? Abu Garcia Orra Winch is 5.4:1 around $100
  2. http://threeltuningandcleaning.com/Threeltuningandcleaning_LLC/Reel_Painting.html His email is on this page.
  3. By small Jerkbaits and Topwaters, are you saying baits along the lines of Pointer 78's and Pop-R's?
  4. It's a floater model? Unless it's eaten by a gator, is cast into a tree/powerline of something freaky happens (fish gets hooked then somehow snags the hooks while underwater), you will be able to get it back by snagging it with another lure or something. Go straight braid on this one.
  5. #1) 4.8" Keitech S.I. Fat: I've caught fish from surface to 30 feet with it. Weightless on top like a toad or just under the sparce pads, Swimbait hook in the weeds, Biffle in the rocks, Carolina Rig, and flipped it. #2) Senko or Fat Ika would be the other, basically whatever bag I grab first. Both similar baits as far as technique/situation.
  6. Heady Topper... thank god I have a hook up. This stuff sells out locally the day it gets delivered. http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/27039/16814/ Rock Art, Big Belvidiere IPA Rock Art, Vermonster Rogue, Chocolate Oatmeal Stout North Coast Brewery, Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout
  7. Mojo 70MHM can be found for around $100 (Dick's coupons, amazon, etc.) I like that rod a lot. The Powell Diesel for $60 at TW is pretty good too, I am still getting to know it though. Lamiglas Excel 2 705G ($100, wait a month for a sale and it's 80-85) is a good one to look at, Lamiglas' Fiberglass 705 and 765 blanks are "Legendary" for many crank baiters.
  8. I have a Daiwa Jupiter (Wal-Mart version of the Aird) that's a 6'6"Mf... it's about as fast as I am. I use mine for spooks, Jerkbaits and poppers. I got mine on closeout for $30. Check them out.
  9. 765 model would work. Look for a clearance Shimano Crucial. Those are right about $100.

Pack some silica packets from other stuff you buy (clothing, shoes, flat pack furniture, etc.)
  11. Champlain is on fire! Watch the BASS open this weekend or look at last week's Rayovac weights, they're up! I've only been out a few times this month and have done very well.
  12. Fat Ika or small bright crankbaits (Big O, Yo Zuri, Strike King 1)
  13. (Goes out and peels off sticker) Yeah stickers are dumb!
  14. Carolina Rig for summer smallies. 3/4 to 1oz weight, 3-6 ft leader. Zoom Ultravibe Speedcraw Smokin' Rooster 2.8" Keitech Fat Impact Are all killer baits on a rig.
  15. Try the white one (anise & crawfish)
  16. Keitech Swing Impact Fat (my go to 2012 and 2013) Zoom Speedcraw Getting a lot of fish on a Buzzjet too.
  17. Line guide looks like there will be some line management issues.
  18. Whole write up on their line at TT.
  19. Maxima. A friend and I were Carolina Rigging some very rocky and Zebra Mussely areas this past summer. I was using a Suffix Siege or Big Game leaders 15-17lbs and would break off or need replacing every 30 or so minutes. He was running 20lb Maxima and the line had on nick in it by the end of the day. He gave me a huge spool as thanks for being a good net man (he smoked the smallies in that tournament, while I replaced leaders).
  20. Clean the drag assembly and give it another shot.
  21. Yup.
