  3. Power Pro here. Also, don't be afraid to use it without a leader. If your conditions dictate a leader and it makes you feel more confident, PP will serve you well. Mike

  11. In another thread a few posts were made about useing colored weights. Since I've never used them and never even gave it a thought too, I thought I'd start a new thread and ask who does and why. Now I've been told I've alway been a color coordinated snappy dresser, but never when it came to useing a painted bullet weight Mike
  12. I use Trokars exclusively for punch baits. The trick with them is not to tex-pos them. Bring the hook point up just before it breaks the surface and you won't have that problem unles you're useing a D Bomb. . The hook will hold nicely in a rib. Mike
  13. Honestly this was a close 2nd. I use them unweighted as I only use the Magnum. They're heavy enough for the mostly shallow waters down here. Mike
  14. For me it's a Cut R with a 1/16 pegged weight. Mike
  15. Tip wrap is caused by twist in conjunction with excessive slack especially in windy conditions.. Mike
  16. Down here when I see birds diving I'm heading that way. May not catch anything but at least it's a sign of bait. I'll follow them around until they take off.. Mike
  17. Maybe I should start another thread on this but it's been mentioned here a few times...For those who use colored weights...Why? Mike
  18. Frog, stick bait, spinnerbait, creature and paddletail swim baits all in various colors and sizes depending on water, location and vegitation. Have Fun Mike
  19. Listen..All kidding aside, does it matter what caused the "tick" at that point ? It's under the water, you can't see your hook, you can't see where you're hook is, all you know is that you felt something that you can't explain during one of the most advantageous times to catch a bass...On the fall! So turn it around and ask yourself..All things considered how in the heck would anyone know if it was a stick?? Stop thinking about what is was, set the hook and find out. Mike
  20. Happy Birthday! Enjoy your day my Friend! Mike
  21. Ditto, Tho I don't use an 8, I would never use anything less than a 7 Mike
  22. Your waters and type of plastic you use will dictate how heavy of a weight to use. For swimming a plastic stick bait I'll use...1/16 to 1/4 Paddletail soft baits... 1/16 to 1/2 Bottom presentations... 1/8 to 1/2 Heavy cover...1/4 to 3/4 Punching matt's...3/4 to 2 Drop shot and Carolina rig are always lead...1/2 to 1 I dont fish the ned rig, too many better options. Mike
