  5. Ditto Never cut the tag up against the knot using braid fir any knot. Always leave a little for slippage in case you don’t cinch tight enough or didn’t tie correctly Mike
  6. I know some women who are better than a lot of “fishermen” I know. Mike

  12. Interesting, poor QC and customer service has not been my experience. @MN Fisher Except for the top of the line ARK model, all models use the Toray HM 40T blank, including the Tharp and Cobb signature lines. The Tharp, Invoker Pro and Lancer Pro lines are in your price range and certainly deserve a look and a feel. Depending on the line and length you choose their stated “regular” action is just a tad softer than their labeled “fast” action ones. Other than the signature lines they carry, that is consistent across all their house models. Mike
  13. OP Hope you find some to hold you over. Excellent choice by the way. Mike

  15. No? d**n, I wish I would have known that! ? Mike
  16. Ditto In my relatively shallow water I always use an unpegged 3/16 fir both the standard sized Cut R or Magnum Speed Worm. When swimming the Cut R I always rig tail down, for vertical presentations tail up. Mike
  17. Keep keeping the faith brother. You all continue to be in our prayers Mike
  18. Ma Bass will sometimes strike a frog vastly different than most other baits. When swimming a plastic, trap, jerk, spinner etc you know it immediately. When she zeros in on a hollow frog they will most times just try to stun it then come back to kill it. How many times have you gotten a hit and nothing? First thing we think is that we waited to long to set or set too hard too fast and come up empty. We’ve talked many times on here about the “correct” way to set the hook. Some wait the 1/2 sec others hit her hard at the first sign. Point is just try to keep your emotions and your first instinct out of it and understand you did everything right.. If Ma Bass strikes Ma Bass wants it, just not the way or at the time you may think. Mike
  19. Landing my first Smallmouth. Mike
  20. I’m only brand loyal to fishing lines, Sunline and Power Pro only. Mike
  21. I only throw the standard size Cut R, for the bigger sizes it’s always a Magnum UV Speed Worm first. Mike
  22. Some lakes go through cycles fir different reasons. If you fish your water long enough you learned the hard way what to do and where to go when a “down” year or even season happens. For a few years now it’s been widely reported (even on here) that Okeechobee isn’t fishing the way it used to at times which is true to a certain point. It’s easy to complain about a body of water that you infrequently fish and believe everything you hear. However, if your “home water” is truly that, you just shake your head, roll your eyes and be glad they feel that way. Point is, as it’s been said here many times nothing beats time on the water. The problem occurs when you are, you’re not really learning the most important thing. Mike
