  1. There's some nice cicada lures out there that do basically the same thing for much cheaper too. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Duo_Realis_Shinmushi_Cicada_Bug/descpage-DUOSHI.html https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Savage_Gear_3D_Cicada_Crawler/descpage-SG3DCD.html

  4. Started off on fire Friday. Cold morning so I'd started the Merc and was waiting for her to warm up, caught 4 right by the ramp on a Berkley Frittsider, including a 5.25 pounder before we even went to our first spot. Only ended up with 10 by the end of the day, plus a heartbreaker tail hooked carp and side swung drum. My picture hurt someones feelings though, called me out for catching a "release fish", almost a full week after the last hot water shootout and claiming I catch all my fish from the boat ramp and don't figure anything out, so I posted the previous 10 big ones I'd caught, none of which were from the ramp area. Those were probably just lucky catches though ?‍♂️
  5. Kansas produces 10lb largemouth nearly every year and it's not much further south.
  6. I feel your pain. Mine is that kind of picky about everything.
  7. Like they say, can't dodge it, Ram it.

yellow and orange cranks and jerkbaits.
  9. Medium spinning rod or ML casting rod.
  10. Yeah but the multiple bright colors would kind of go in line with the Autism Awareness theme. That would be pretty awesome. 4 pages later, no publicity is bad publicity ?‍♂️
  11. I'd fish it. I thought maybe it was going to be an Autism Awareness type thing but I believe that's in April so kind of ruled that out.
  12. Ready for warmer days and spending time on the water with 2 of my favorite fishing buddies.
  13. My favorite answer; It depends. Sometimes I'll be walking a spook so fast it wouldn't seem like a fish should be able to catch up to it. Sometimes it I'll be fishing a popper so softly it barely looks like it's moving. Most of the time it's somewhere in between. All depends on a lot of different factors. In your example, it was 2 different baits and the rapid fleeing action of the plopper was probably what made the difference.
  14. Early morning for me. Sun gets up and the bite dies a lot of the time until late in the afternoon.
  15. We have the banded water snakes here. Everyone swears they're cottonmouths. If they'd ever seen a real cottonmouth, they'd realize it's pretty obvious they're not water moccasins.
  16. I like the inflatable type. Auto-inflate is probably best but I've got manual ones.
  17. Bunch of nobodies ? I believe Andy Montgomery is Daiwa too.
  18. I'm too far north for cottonmouths, and only ever seen 2 copperheads in the wild in my life. I'm much more cautious of the much more dangerous 2 legged snakes.
  19. I've got clamps on the hooks of mine too. The grips are like $10 and I have the $5 digital luggage scales. I wrap electric tape around the hook/handle to keep it from coming off the hook when the fish flops too.
  20. Welcome and thank you for your service!
