First try at spinnerbaits
Mainly in stained to muddy water which is primarily what I fish.

Bait that you set aside
Poppers, I like fishing them but rarely reach for them anymore.

First try at spinnerbaits
It's a solid color around here, good bluegill imitation. That's one someone ordered.

First try at spinnerbaits
Hard to find a bait with them anymore, and I love them in dirty water like I fish a lot.

Post a photo a day!
My son is 5, very capable of talking, but he's really into dinosaurs though so I get a lot of roars, growls, and other guttural noises. I think it's concerning the dogs a bit.

Forgot to stow trolling motor Blooper VIDEO
My buddy did the same thing with his. Good thing is he wanted a new trolling motor anyways.

I don't know if I've ever related to a meme as much as I do this one.

Fishing Shows
Use to so look forward to the Sportshow in KC when I was younger. It was a midway point of winter, and back before we had a Cabela's and BPS in the area, it was the only fishing gear I got to see in person besides WalMart. Plus all the glitter sleds I could look at. I remember running my hands along the sides and feeling how smooth they were and imagined them flying across the glassy surface of a lake, meanwhile it was 10* outside and snowing, it was a great escape. I always looked forward to talking to Harold Ensly, he attended every year right up to his death, still have a hat that he signed for me. Cut to today, there's boats, rvs, atvs, soaps, trips, jewelry making, knives, not much else. I haven't been a few years and other than wanting to take my boys so maybe they'd have the fond memories I have of it, I don't have any desire to go.

Looking for a small boat landing net
I have this net. Rubberized netting, and it folds down to almost nothing when not in use, but it's easy to deploy with one hand if needed. https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/bass-pro-shops-gold-series-folding-landing-net

Sick stick ned rig
Have you tried a weighted wacky rig? Fishing them on a dropshot but wacky rigged? On a shakyhead? Seems like they could have some good uses. Pretty much any piece of plastic will work on a small jighead though.

Is exposing rods to the cold bad for them?
Mine stay in the boat in my shop, which runs 40-50 degrees depending on the outside temps. Then I fish all winter, which can be anywhere from 50-0 degrees depending on how mad I am at the fish. I can only remember breaking one rod in the winter, a Carrot Stix, folded in half during the cast like a wet noodle, so take that for what it's worth.

Updated Thoughts On Darter Head Fishing ?
I use a darter head exclusively when fishing a grub or small < 3.5" paddletail.

Seasonal help, please.
51 degrees isn't winter/coldwater period water temps. Bass will still eat topwater in 51 degree water. No reason for you to go deep at that point. The fish are talking, you just aren't listening!

The Road To The Super Bowl 2019
He was our backup here in KC for awhile, there's a reason he's a backup. He's a good one and probably get a starting job next year. The talking heads sing his praises to hype the game. I think there was a lot of rust from sitting for 3 weeks from the Saints starters. It should be a good match up. The NFL has to be pumped.

Cold muddy conditions
Spinnerbait with a single Colorado blade reeled as slow as you can while keeping the blade spinning. You can even let it settle to the bottom and do a lift-drop retrieve back like you're fishing a jig. I had a solid red one with a big gold Colorado blade that I use to fish when I was a kid that I caught some big ones with when the water was really cold, black worked good too.
