Can't stop watching this!
Pretty sure those were pike, which are much more aggressive in cold water than bass are typically.

The Road To The Super Bowl 2019
Saints had to work awfully hard to beat a backup QB, they'll have to do a lot better than that against the Rams next week.

First try at spinnerbaits
I got this mold because of the larger sizes 5/8, 3/4, and 1oz. BB swivels seem to be about a dollar each for good ones. Blades are pricey too.

Savage Gear Line Thru Trout
They'll hold it for a long time typically. They come with a pretty small hook, I believe it's a #4. An Owner ST 36 #4 would be a good option.

Tailspin help
The sliding style are more difficult for the fish to throw once hooked and you can just fish whatever hook you like instead of the fixed hook style that you have to swap out hooks.

First try at spinnerbaits
Yeah I make so many of my own baits already, I've just been putting off making spinnerbaits because they're expensive to get into. I got enough orders almost immediately when I started making these that I already covered my expenses though so it worked out pretty well.

Have you got a lure you refuse to give up on?
I caught a lot of fish on a Banjo minnow when I was a kid, a lot. Throw a big white glide bait at Wyco and watch the bass come out of the wood work to chase that thing. I won a lot of money in the Wednesday night tournaments throwing swimbaits.

Post a photo a day!
It's a Castaic trout. They still make them, not sure if they make them in that color, and they've been revamped a bit, but really sure that's what it is. Nearly 8 inches of the white stuff fell at our house Friday into Saturday. The first real snow since my boys were old enough to enjoy it and they really did enjoy it.

Walleye/Crappie
Crappie here tend to be more cover oriented like a largemouth. So if you scan those drops and find some wood or cover of some sort, that would be a good place to start. Not sure about where you are, but our walleye run the flats in early summer and switch to drops mid summer. I'd start on top of the points and work out towards the end, either pulling jigs or a bottom bouncer/spinner rig and see if you can find active fish. Trolling cranks or bottom bouncers is a good way to try to contact active fish and then slow down and try to jig the area. I'm guessing you might be dealing with a lot of offshore weeds so you might look for a hard weedline and try jigging that for both of them.

Why can’t I catch a freakin fish!!!?
If you're using powerbait, I have WAY more luck with GULP eggs than I do the powerbait paste. 2 eggs on a #14 or #16 salmon egg hook and about a 24" leader of 4# mono to a light egg sinker and you're good to go. A lot of our trout cruise the shorelines too, so if you're casting to the middle of the lake you might be casting past them.

Other Species Latest Catch Pics Thread
On my last guide trip, my client caught a channel cat on a Strike King KVD 300 jerkbait that was only about twice as long as the jerkbait. They're way more predatory than most people think.

Tailspin help
Cast them out and let them sink to the bottom then give it a pop to get the blade spinning and reel it in slowly. Not exciting, but they do work. You can lift and drop them too but I've never had much luck doing that.

Favorite Drop Shot Hook ?
Gammy A-Mart TGW hooks. Had difficulty hooking DS fish until I switched to those, not anymore, just lift and reel.

First try at spinnerbaits
Tired of not being able to find the thumping spinnerbaits and certain colors that I like, so I started pouring and tying my own. Fairly happy with how my first few came out.

Operation chatterbait blackening is a go!
Looks good! Be interesting to see how the durability of the finish is. I have some dip that I found awhile back in black, blue, and red. It all looks good for a fish or two, then it comes off quickly. From your other post about it, I'd assume this will be a much better lasting effect.

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
This is a purchase I desperately need to make but keep putting off and getting by with my entry level Cabela's vise. I don't know what I'd do if I had a nice one.

The Road To The Super Bowl 2019
Where did that defense come from? Sandbag job of the century?

Old lures
Post a picture, someone can very likely ID it and get you a better idea if you should fish it or hold onto it.

Underspins how do I use them
The only way I have done well is to let them sink to the desired depth and reel them slowly as possible. Boring but very effective at times.

What pound fluorocarbon for trout?
4# unless they're really large fish. If you're fishing power bait it probably won't float with fluoro though.

Pline cxx question
I use the 12 on my kayak rod for spinnerbaits and bladed jigs, it's plenty strong.
