  1. I wouldn't use it except in the clearest water for the most finicky fish. 4lb is so much stronger and with the lines today you can get such a thin fluorocarbon that there really isn't a need to drop down to 2lb. The stocked lakes I fish have some really large fish that I wouldn't want to target with 2lb test anyways.
  2. I have about 30 bags each of the sapphire blue and the lime-purple passion. Great flipping baits and one of my favorite bladed jig trailers too.
  3. I mainly drag them in the winter months.
  4. Anything that looks like a shad. Lipless baits are the popular item here.
  5. Chloe, dreaming about the next thing she's going to chew up I'm sure.
  6. La Cygne tends to produce some of it's biggest fish of the year in March. April is a more consistent month for the 3-7 pound range fish though.
  7. Went for about 30 minutes Monday morning to test a jerkbait a buddy painted and gave me to test. Water was stained up from the rain and the bait floated faster than I was hoping even when I switched to larger trebles but still managed a couple little guys.
  8. Looks like a nice boat. Mostly I'm just jealous you get to fish all those rivers that often. Some great fishing and just about as nice of scenery down there.
  9. I'm going to make a bold prediction and guess the guy with the most weight at the end will win the thing.
  10. Appreciate the offer but I like to use a bulky trailer on them a lot of the time and I'm afraid that head wouldn't hold a trailer up very well.
  11. Won a couple tournaments last year on spinnerbaits, including our end of the year fish off. Looking at buying a mold for some bigger spinnerbaits to make some big thumping blade baits because they're impossible to find in the blade/skirt combos I want.
  12. Lime-Purple Passion, it's an excellent bluegill imitation. Sapphire Blue is the other one. Summer craw was one but I think they brought it back.
  13. This is exactly what I've found. They almost always eat one and not the other, or at least eat one much better than the other. Smallmouth especially seem to prefer the ploppers over the buzzbaits. I was a hard sell on them, but I'm completely bought in after trying them.
  14. I tired to sway him to a Thunnus so he'd have a baitfeeder, still way overkill for what he needed but obviously had money burning a hole in his pocket, but the guy was set on buying the most expensive thing he could get.
  15. My wife trying control some kind of wild animal.
  16. It's usually domestic violence or substance abuse. I really feel like Mahomes is too smart to do anything that dumb. I also don't think they'll make it that far but they've only won 3 playoff games in my lifetime so I don't expect it to change until it does.
  17. resin except the craws are from an aluminum mold from the same place.
  18. I have micros on mine. The only downside is any slop or dreaded cottonseed that sticks to your line will get stuck in the guides.
  19. I prefer plain black, but very few of my rods are plain black so I guess color matters little to me. I have a lot of light blue, some orange, some dark red, dark blue, along with the black. They'd all have EVA foam if it was my choice but it's not so a lot of them have cork.
  20. I've never bank fished it but I know guys do fish the dams with decent success.
  21. As high as $24? I'd say the Bull Shad is probably the gold standard in that category and they go for twice that amount. I think the closest you might be able to get to a decent swimming, multi jointed bait in that price range would be a Spro BBZ 4" Shad or Sebile Magic Swimmer.
  22. We use to sell a ton of them when I worked at Cabela's, mostly because there was a video of them playing on loop with a display of them. Pike guys loved them, bass guys complained that they always just knocked the bait in the air and never got the hooks. I never bought one to find out.
  23. We've had some not so great things going on in our little corner of the world lately, makes you stop and appreciate things sometimes.
