  1. I prefer the LC, but not the regular pointer. The Slender Pointer and Flash Pointer are my favorites. I fish too many rocks that just love to claim various parts that the MB baits seem so willing to donate.
  2. A 2/0 or 3/0 is going to fit most of your standard sized tubes. I use a 3/0 for the Strike King Coffee Tubes.
  3. I haven't but I'd think it would be pretty easy to go to a hardware store and get some clamps. You could probably clip the ones you have onto the clamps and just keep using them. Just drill a hole in either side of them. http://www.homedepot.com/p/HDX-2-in-Spring-Clamp-80002/100027346 http://www.homedepot.com/p/POWERTEC-Mini-Spring-Clamps-Set-71018/207185620
  4. Green sunfish terrorize a wacky rig on a lot of the lakes I fish, but you'll hook one of them occasionally. IMO, lose the weedless hook, they don't do much more than protect you for hooking fish.
  5. Great looking fish! Welcome back @deep, it's been awhile
  6. I don't even like eating cooked fish, let alone kissing a live one.
  7. I enjoy fishing live crawdads for bass. You fish them very much like a slow moving plastic worm, if they don't get eaten immediately anyways.
  8. 3oz is a light weight for most of my catfishing situations. A lively green sunfish will drag a 3oz weight to a snag no problems. A good sized piece of cut carp will drag an 8oz sinker in the Missouri River too. Not to mention, even a little 10 pounder will get in a decent current and empty a bass sized spinning reel in no time. I've had feisty 20's put up really good fights, even in no current. A decent catfish setup isn't nearly as pricey as a decent bass combo, and you're likely going to be dealing with much larger and stronger fish.
  9. I've fished Smithville twice and never had anything I'm 100% sure was a bite.
  10. I used to catch a lot of fish swimming a white stone jig with a white twin tail Fat Albert grub. One of the first jigs I ever had confidence in.
  11. They might have, haven't had to look at a TM for several years thankfully. I have an older model MG on my johnboat that has the metal shaft but it barely reaches the water and is on a much lighter boat so if I do hit something it has much less weight to damage it. I had a boater bend a MG shaft at about a 45* angle hitting a stump square on 100% at Truman Lake, MO during a tournament several years ago, wasn't fun.
  12. Welcome!
  13. I use either Big Game or Pline Xtra strong
  14. I caught by far the largest bass I ever caught in a lake I used to fish a lot on a chunk of bluegill fishing for catfish. Also caught a nice one on a chunk of frozen bluegill I set out on a turtle line.
  15. You need both, and the 130, because the monkey says so I use and like all 3. I'd go with the 90 for spinning gear though.
  16. Need to add the craw tube to my boom category. Never had much luck with them but they've been doing work for me this year. Seems like the average size of the fish is really good with them too.
  17. Lots of times around grass. The nice thing is, if they miss it on the surface you can just let it sink and let it become it's own follow up bait.
  18. 4.8 swing impact fat has been good for me.
  19. Redbreast
  20. Yeah, blue tilapia. Hard to get to bite but they fight really well.
