Quality Treble Hooks?
The Fletcher Shyrock signature series Eagle Claw trebles from Wal-Mart have been good for me for a cheaper hook. Owner ST 36's are what I normally switch out to.

For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
Hmmm, you didn't see me fishing for crappie, I promise that. I went under the bridge and on up a little ways fishing for bass on Monday morning I believe? I did pretty good with a T rigged Menace and a spinnerbait. I was only out there a couple hours though.

H20 xpress menace
I like it. Only paid $30 for it. It's been a good trap reel, really launches them and the 7.1 ratio makes burning them easy. It has a magnetic brake.

Gliss Vs. Spiderwire Stealth
I have not used Gliss on casting gear and have no intentions to. I love it on my spinning rods I have it on, but I don't see it having any advantages on casting gear. It seems like it wouldn't be a good option for similar situations you'd use regular braid.

H20 xpress menace
Haven't tried the Menace but I do have the Manic, in addition to my Mettles, and they're all good reels. I wouldn't be afraid to try one.

How much is to much
I have lots of different combos to do lots of different things. Some lakes a certain technique isn't effective (I don't need my deep cranking/drop shot/shakyhead rod on a lake that's mostly punching or flipping weeds or tons of standing timber for example). I still keep those rods in the locker for when I do need them though. Then things like jigs/t rigs on a flipping lake I might want to have a rod with a beaver, jig, creature, and a big worm, so I have multiple rods with similar ratings that don't get used often but can be very helpful in figuring out the fish when I do use them. Price of the combo has little to do with it. One of my most expensive (Curado 200E7/LTB) sits in the locker a majority of the year because it's my C-rig setup and I hate dragging the ball and chain, but it's a must have bait at times so I keep it in there.

H2O Xpress Baits
Take it off and put 1 size larger and better quality hook on the belly.

Age-Old G. Loomis vs St.Croix Question
What are you combos exactly? Rod/length/power/action, reel/size/age, line/brand/size/age. Your rods will effect your casting distance, but I have a feeling it's your reel and/or line that's effecting your distance the most.

vintage Kennedy Aluminum Tackle Box
Wow that thing is in great shape! I'm sure there's a collector out there somewhere that would love to have it.

Spinnerbaits
You don't have to use a trailer hook, I rarely do unless I'm targeting smallies, spotted bass, or in cold water.

A Senko that won't come off?
I've fished the Savage Gear worm a lot. I average 3-5 fish per bait. Doesn't sound like a big difference, but if you normally use Senkos and get 1-2 fish a bait and go through a lot of baits, it adds up quickly over the long run.

Parking tickets...
Yeah, there's some of that too. I can only speak for my area that most aren't like that here. I could see getting to be like that in a bigger city though.

Shimano Casitas Vs Caenan
Casitas is a little lighter, and comes in more options for lefties. Not much difference otherwise. I have a Casitas and really like it though.

Parking tickets...
Police and military guys are some of the funniest people I know. In the case of LEO's, we have a tendency to have a twisted sense of humor, so it has to be reigned in around the GP or risk getting complained on for being unprofessional. If you ever get to be the fly on the wall in a group of cops telling stories and jokes though, can almost guarantee you'll laugh harder than any comedy show. Stuff happens on the day to day that is unbelievable to most anyone who hasn't been there. Every time I think I've seen it all, it's like someone goes out of their way to prove me wrong. Judges on the other hand, haven't met many of them with much sense of humor.

Basic Bladed Jigs
I agree with bending the blade. You'll learn where and how sharply to bend it to get the action your prefer. They work with the flat blade, but the work way better for me with the bent blades. Tying your own skirts make them last a lot longer as well. A simple ziptie on the skirts you have on will make them last a lot longer. Being able to create your own colors is nice too.

Crankbait trick that catches fish and saves money
I'm sure it doesn't hurt that those Big O's are great crankbaits as is. Regular sharpies work for the same reason, as do rattle cans if you want to get a little trickier.

How much is to much
I have around 25 in the boat with me and that's about all my locker will hold. I feel like that's about perfect for me to have rods to cover everything that I might run into.

Tendenitis in casting arm
I get some occasional, minor pain in my elbows. The tennis elbow band fixes mine up just fine.
