Beginner Walleye Fishing
I'd fish the cove with weeds. One of the lakes I use to fish a lot sounds similar, minus the docks. Clear water, tons of weeds in the coves, about 180 acres, and a small walleye population. The walleyes would bury up in the tops of the weeds in 4-8 feet of water along the creek channel and smash a squarebill ripped through the weeds. Had to be middle of the summer when the water was usually above 80 degrees.

Bass fishing an East wind?
I don't pay attention to it except when it's stronger, then it might influence which lake I go to. You can't catch them at home.

H20 ethos power
I have that exact rod and yes, it fishes more like a medium than medium heavy. I use mine for fishing lipless baits and it does that very well.

When looking at the forecast, what's your wind threshold
15mph is a gentle breeze around here. We tore them up one day early this year with high 30mph sustained winds and gust in the low 50's.

what are the red spots on a bass stomach?
A picture would help but a lot of fish have spawned not long ago and may still have sores from doing so. Hot weather and warm water lends itself to infections and parasites as well so that's another possibility. I wouldn't be worried about touching it though.

Abu Garcia Orra
Are you going to be targeting those catfish or just a potential accidental catch? There's not a reel out there that I'd intentionally fish for a 50 pound catfish, then turn around and fish for bass with. I wouldn't suggest the Abu Orra spinning reel for anything for that matter. I've never had a spinning reel that caused line twist so badly.

Left Hand Retrieve VS Right Hand Retrieve
My left hand/arm might as well be attached to someone else, I'd have about the same amount of control over it. I can cast, switch hands, and start my retrieve without even thinking about it. I tried a left hand retrieve baitcaster for several months, but all I did was prove that I'm not capable of learning to use a left handed baitcaster.

Live worm fishing
I hate keeping crawlers alive and the mess they make. Nothing wrong with using live bait though. My cleaner version of this is a 2" grub on my ultralight just fishing for whatever will bite. Sometimes it's nice to simplify and get back to fishing just for the enjoyment of catching whatever I can.

Night Bassing ~ A-Jay's Version
Maybe that's my issue. I tend to stay shallow at night regardless of moon phase. I'll have to try backing off the bank next time and seeing if that helps. I have started sticking to lighter colors during a bright moon and noticed an increase in productivity when I did that, but still way down from darker nights.

Academy H2O Mettle on sale for $49.95
I have 3, great reels for the money. I use them in the kayak or bank fishing so I don't have to worry about getting an expensive reel dirty or dinged up.

Last Trip
I was on the fish very good last time I was out fishing trees on the first drop off the bank. They're postspawn and very seriously on a bluegill bite. A Rage Menace in Honey Candy with the tail dipped in chartreuse JJ's and T-rigged with a 4/0 hook, 1/4oz bullet weight, fished on 15lb Tatsu, was getting smoked. I also caught a good number of fish on a bluegill colored squarebill along the first drop and running it into trees. This was at a lake where I'm normally happy with 10 fish and I ended up with over 30 on a flat calm day that nearly reached triple digits temps and I was out from 10am-3pm.

Swimbaits
Going to have to narrow that one down a bit. My best swimbait for the money is probably more expensive than a lot of guys would ever consider spending on one bait, and others that fish them almost exclusively probably are much higher than that. Your definition or idea of a swimbait would help a lot too.

Great weekend with a new PB!
I leaned over a little too far and then 75 pounds of dog decided to see what I was looking at and we went over. It was cold and I lost my phone, my Virb, and a rod and reel along with a few other little things.

Time of day/conditions to throw a frog?
All day long. Fish under those mats will eat one all day long.
