  1. I have an older CI4 Stradic and really like it. Lately, I've moved more towards Pfluegar though. I have a couple Pfluegar Supreme XT's and feel like they're as good, if not better, than the Stradic while being considerably less expensive. Congrats on the record fish!
  2. I use photobucket for all of mine. Upload them to PB, on the links you'll select "Direct", then on here you'll click the "Insert other media", right above "Submit Reply". Select "Insert image from URL", paste the link into the box and click "Insert into post".
  3. I'm assuming you're talking about the Morning Dawn color of Spro Rat. I call it "Hippie Rat", because of the kind of tie-dye color scheme, and it's my favorite color of Spro Rat.
  4. Very nice looking bait! Is it a line thru or do you rig it on a EWG swimbait hook?
  5. I use a 4/0 EWG for 10" worms.
  6. Easiest way to do it is just cast and retrieve with a steady, medium speed. Once you get a feel for it you can start messing with retrieves a little more.
  7. I'd prefer to catch a handful of larger fish, but most of our lakes in NE Kansas just don't have many bigger fish. If I'm on a lake with mostly numbers of fish, I start to feel like I've done alright when I get around 50 fish in the boat. If I'm on a big fish lake, all I need is a couple good ones and I'm happy. Most of the lakes I go to for big fish I'm having a good day if I have a couple dozen in the boat. If I'm after smallies it's not unusual to near or surpass 100 fish on a good day.
  8. I have several "finesse" combos, but my favorite would be; 6' 10" ML/XF St. Croix LTB 30 size Pfluegar Supreme XT 24lb Gliss to a 6-10 pound leader
  9. Most likely you can get another handle from Quantum if nothing else, or you can buy a replacement handle for it.
  10. This exactly. Everyone makes a good reel in that price range, and everyone has their personal preferences in reels. Get to a tackle store so you can play with some of them and decide what one you like best. I have Lew's, Shimano, Okuma, Pinnacle, Daiwa, and Pfluegar. All are nice reels and have their own quirks and qualities.
  11. Welcome!
  12. Welcome!
  13. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING worth watching from Wolf. Didn't turn the camera on at the river pond, didn't think we'd really catch as many as we did.
  14. The weeds must be thinned out?
  15. Not out of a wastewater reclamation pond, no thank you.
  16. I throw all my swimbaits on mono or copolymer. Only thing I'd ever throw on braid would be floating swimbaits so when I cast them off I can go pick them up.
  17. Looks like a round Nissan emblem to me. Grill isn't right to be a Ford either. Never seen it in person, but I talked to a warden here once who told me about the big piles of rocks they build up at the very end of some of the reservoirs in KS. He said it was to stop vehicles from rolling too far out into the lake if someone didn't put the truck in park, "Idiot Catchers", he called them.
  18. I like the short shank EWG trebles because I can go one size larger typically without effecting the bait. There should be no reason you can't stick with the original size though.
  19. Very likely that it's why that's happening.
  20. You could buy a whole suit from Academy for that much from their H20 lineup.
  21. Nice fish, the wind was horrible out there today.
