  1. Pit Boss, TRD/Zinker but that's been the same for the last few years.
  2. When I fished fluoro a lot, I always put backing on to save money and line. No reason to have 150 yards of mainline on a reel when you're fishing for bass anyways.
  3. Happy Birthday!
  4. I certainly wouldn't fish them on a shakyhead or a slider head because it doesn't work even a little bit. The Kudzu color is probably the worst one to try if you were going to do it too.
  5. I have a Lucky Craft in a color I've always called Homer (chartreuse and lime green).
  6. My last boat (Lowe Roughneck 1652 VPT with a 60hp Mercury 4 stroke), was the most problem free boat I've ever owned. If it had just been setup for bass fishing a little better, I probably wouldn't have gotten rid of it.
  7. I had the same thing happen to me fishing flooded buckbrush with a spinnerbait last spring. Those big grass carp can really throw some water.
  8. It's a baby largemouth bass. Bass will get that purplish tint to them in colder water. Yellow perch?
  9. I'd trade all these dinks I've been catching lately for one big bite in a heartbeat.
  10. The President in the 30 size is a great all around spinning reel for bass. I have a few of them, all on Ethos rods from Academy.
  11. If you like Shad Raps I'd suggest trying out the new Berkley Bad Shad. They're a very nice bait in good colors with good hooks right out of the package for a little less than a Shad Rap. Plus they're plastic so they cast a little better and they have rattles.
  12. My boat has a couple built in spots for pliers and such.
  13. I've had a few Rage rods and they all have a guide extremely close to the tip like that.
  14. Pre Spawn is my favorite time of year to fish I guess I've never heard anything about it being a tough time of year to be on the water. Post Spawn on the other hand, can be very tough at times. Fish are stressed and scattering out, can be very tough to locate and catch.
  15. Other than they don't catch me any fish I haven't had any problems with them
  16. They must be stocking wipers out there again? I didn't see one under 6 pounds out there last year. Your fish got bigger when you started throwing the BHW, just saying
  17. I leave them in their packages but I know several guys that put them in Planos without issues.
  18. Most all MH casting rods are rated at least up to 1oz so you'll be fine if you have the 90. BTW, I had a topwater fish Friday, so it's not too early, especially with a bait that can be paused like the WP.
  19. Nice fish Beckie! That's not a Fishmas Exchange chatterbait is it?
  20. Those of us who work midnight shift greatly appreciate getting paid 8 hours for working 7
