  1. Welcome!
  2. There's one younger niece, but she's not nearly as pretty, got a lot of miles on her.
  3. At least around $100 if you're going to pour very many sinkers if they're very big. Depends on what type of sinker too. Brass inserts add up quickly if you're doing very many. If you can get lead for free or very cheap it helps a lot.
  4. The bait is the right profile and it was put in the right place with the right presentation at the right time. Color is one of the least important aspects of the bait you're fishing day in and day out IMO. Sometimes it will make all the difference in the world, but a lot of times me and whoever I'm fishing with are catching fish about the same on two different colors. Black and blue is a dark color that gives off a good profile, and a lot of things a bass eats are dark colored.
  5. They both just flat out catch fish. Nothing wrong with YUM or Zoom, but I've seen plenty of times the action of a Rage Craw or Menace or the Biospawn Vile Craw or Biostick just puts more and/or bigger fish in the boat. It's just like how a regular Senko will outfish a knockoff, sometimes. There's no way to say exactly why one works better when it does, but it certainly happens. If you're happy with the numbers and size of fish you're catching on cheaper brands, by all means stick with those. If you're like most of us that has to have the next shiny thing on the shelf in hopes of catching a couple extra fish, I'd certainly recommend giving those a try.
  6. LiveTarget. Their HFC craw has been on my list of baits to buy for awhile and I keep forgetting about it. Supposed to have that hunting action similar to a wart.
  7. I'd say that's a fairly accurate description.
  8. It was so fat, that is it's gut making it look like that. It didn't have any injuries, just packed to the absolute max full of shad.
  9. I have a Mojo 6' 8" "Wacky Style" that makes a great fluke rod. I have a 35 Pfluegar Supreme XT with 20lb braid on it.
  10. It would depend on what you're using it for to me as well as which model you're getting.
  11. It bugs me and I know it shouldn't but it does. I can't buy the baits with the claws on the bills because it makes no sense!
  12. Bam, done.
  13. It's a pigmentation thing that fish get often in the spring. I've heard it's a sign of a healthy lake and every time I've seen it has been in lakes with good populations. Your spot also appears to be a LM.
  14. Just a thought but could it be a 1 week period where the angler declares the 2 days they want to fish in advance? Give everyone their token Sunday night just before the new week and then they can fish their 2 days during the week and everyone turns their fish in by a set time the next Sunday night? Just thinking of guys like myself who can't fish on weekends.
  15. Most likely that's the prespawn.
  16. No permit needed in Kansas either for concealed or open carry. Thankfully we don't have too many people around that just need the extra attention that open carry brings.
  17. Jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, bladed jigs, traps, and warts.
  18. Blues always looks so nice out of cold water.
  19. I just can't keep away from these guys this winter, not a bad problem to have though.
  20. Agreed. I use the raw video myself, except if I need to cover up my foul language from time to time. At the same time, I can't stand someone rambling on and on like they just talk to hear their own voice.
  21. I still can't hardly see anything. I can tell there's an animal there, but anyone that's used trail cameras much knows that they take some funky pictures sometimes, especially if the animal is moving like that one appears to be.
  22. I was given some bags that were probably 15-20 years old several years ago. They were 100 packs that I still have some of and they still catch fish today.
  23. I had a 16' aluminum with a 70lb Maxxum 24V and even with that it was tough fighting the wind sometimes. I couldn't replace that TM fast enough if I was you.
