  1. You looks surprised? Nice fish.
  2. Welcome!
  3. 50lb braid is what I use for flipping vegetation as well as frogs.
  4. Not just big bass either.
  5. I have micro guides on my frog rod and haven't had any issues except around cottonseed but personally, I'd rather it jam up in the guides than make it all the way to my reel like with regular guides.
  6. T rigged or on a swinging football head are my favorite ways to fish a beaver. Never tried one weightless but I'm sure it would work.
  7. The suggestion to put the truck in neutral has made backing my trailer even easier and I'm sure it's easier on my truck. Learning to back with mirrors is a great suggestion too. I know lots of guys who look over their shoulder. Nice and easy, until you're backing a truck with a topper or a big SUV.
  8. I believe those fish could benefit from some anger management classes so they don't have to take all of it out on his baits.
  9. I'd watch it. I enjoy the channels of guys that are just fishing. I can't stand the ones of guys fishing and talking nonstop like they just like to hear themselves talk.
  10. A melting pot, the mold, lots of lead. The nice thing with pouring sinkers is you can get away with using less than perfect lead because little imperfections aren't a big deal.
  11. Yes, that's rigged correctly. It takes a harder hookset to push the hook through the plastic with a regular offset bend hook than a skin hooked EWG hook.
  12. War Eagle Finesse is a killer little bait.
  13. That bait looks pretty familiar ? sort of like this one but with a black blade instead of orange. Glad they're working for you and you were right, that's a great muddy water color.
  14. The YUM Warning Shot has great action on a dropshot and they're pretty cheap and durable.
  15. I hate thieves! Hopefully the bank will take care of you.
  16. It's worth the drive for sure. I wouldn't miss it because there's not telling when they'll come back to the area again!
  17. Nailed it. Gonzo grub is great because it's more durable than the Hula Grub. I've had some great days when the fishing was tough flipping a Beavertail with a light weight into cover. Since the surge of beaver baits, I haven't seen any of the Beavertails around other than crappie sized ones.
