  1. If the people in the courthouse were fishermen, and they were catching like we were, they'd understand completely...But I doubt they will be and therefore doubt they will understand why we all risked our lives to catch well over 150 bass in a single 8 hour day...
  2. Thank you everyone for your support. I have a court hearing on Tuesday at 8:30. Hope it goes well.
  3. My apologies...I had to get that off of my chest. DCF in FL and the court system in KY and FL so far are a festering blister of a failure and I am trying to make that known as well through legal channels. Anyhow, tight lines to all of you. Thanks for listenin to my lil B****-fit. lol
  4. about 4 years ago I was pond hoppin at Ft. Campbell. The topwater bite was on fire trhat day and I had my plano tray out with all of my lucky craft topwaters (sammys, gunfish, etc) well when I was done I walked back up to my jeep and I sat my box down on the hood of the jeep and ended up strikin up a converstaion with another pond hoppin angler. After I was done shootin the bull I got in my jeep n drove home. After I got home, I suddenly realized I had left my box full of 15 dollar lures on the hood...GONE, ALL OF THEM!!!
  5. I had a symmetre and a pfleuger president. While the shimano felt more buttery smooth, the pflueger president was BY far the best $60 I have ever spent on a reel. Smooth and solid. I'd buy another, and I am acutally plannin on it now to be exact. I need a new spinning reel myself and I think the president is a good reel for the job.
  6. Hey everyone..it's 0353 am here in JAX, FL and I am bored and a lil fed up. I'm so sick of how this world is today. I used to post a pretty good bit, but I haven't in quite some time and I am about to catch you up as to why...Starting around June of 2011 I separated from my ex(put explitive here). Well, for a few months I was happier than I had ever been in my life...minus the pickwick road trip, lol. Long sotry short...Fast forward to Feb 2012...My ex has taken out enough false reports that I can't get custody of my daughters even though any and all claims have been unsubstantiated, (then she proceeds to be such a drunk and worthless wasteland that the girls (9 and 4yrs old) get taken away from her by way of her getting arreted and thrown in jail for her 3rd DUI in the last 6months and the girls get put into foster care because her lack of mental capacity). Well look now! Because of what she did in lies on my current significant other and myself, the girls' daddy(ME) can't get custody! Fantastic! This first little section here is the worst part of my life so far, in all of my 28yrs on this earth. My best friends and fishing partners, and more importantly MY DAUGHTERS, MY CHILDREN, have been taken from me by way of a baker-acted and clinically diagnosed mental case of a woman...And like late night TV: But Wait there's more!! on top of that, in the last few months, my favorite (and ONLY) three combos got stolen off of my back porch (my beautiful ruby red daiwa zillion anniversary that was sittin on the rod custom made for me from BR by flechero, my team daiwa tierra that paul sent me while i was in iraq a while back that was on the 6'9" veritas my present girl bought me, and a team daiwa advantage on a shimano convergence graphite from waaaaay back...) the thing that sickens me the most about the theft is that knowing the general description of the type of ppl that took my stuff...These d**n folks dont even know how to use the stuff!!! They are just buying drugs with it more than likely. Thank God for the perp and myself as well, the one suspect I thought was responsible got caught before I found him, and trust me, I went looking...Anyway, to cap off all of that...it's Feb of 2012 and my gear is gone...my babies are in DCF custody thanks to my ex and my current relationship is strained from my ex as well...The reason I bass fish is the reason I am still kickin' right now. AND VICE-VERSA!!! This is a great group of folks and these kinda people and those green fish keep me goin every day. I know this, too, will pass. Can't wait to see you all again as soon as I can get to another road-trip...And I WILL make another one!! -JOE
  7. Keep choppin away at it man, you'll get there. Like I said, keep the cardio up and eat right. Too easy brother.
  8. I was 6'3", 220 while I was in with 18% body fat (had to be taped every time, having an 18" around neck helps), running 14:30 or better 2mile and 12 mile ruck in 2hrs and usually between 30 and 40min. I was active duty, stationed at Campbell (101st abn div (Air Assault)) so we did 12mile rucks AT LEAST once a quarter. For starters, why did you even TRY to run in shoes that were in the shape you described and why did your team OR squad leader allow you to? You come off as a guy who talks like he knows his stuff, so with that being said, even if your money is tight at home, you don't mess around when it comes to PT shoes, you get the best you can afford, better if at all possible. If your feet, shins and knees are all jacked up...You get what I'm sayin'...Secondly, comin' from a big guy, get your run down man. If you are havin body fat issues, I will tell you, no BS, this works...Watch what you're eating, eat several smaller meals throughout the day and no crap foods except for one day a week (cheat day) but don't go overboard even with that. Get your diet fixed and then if you are running and doing as much cardio as you claim, you will be dropping body fat like nobody's business. Your metabolism speeds up and your body gets tuned like it should be. If you are gonna be in Kuwait, you'll be able to do this. I have been through Kuwait several several times throughout my 9 year stint while going to and from Iraq. The resourcesd are there so use 'em. Best of luck to you.
  9. Just wondering? A co. 2/108inf is apprently an infantry unit, correct?...Why the **** did they stick ya'll in Kuwait?
  10. Good luck finding a fish on a bed here. We are apparently in the midst of a cold-front plague...Last nights lows were in the low 20's...If you are lucky enough to get someone to take you to Lake George or more preferrably, salt springs run off of George you may find some spawners. Outside of that, Idunno man. Either way, post up and let us know how it went!
  11. Beautiful FL bass right there!
  12. Black skirt/Red blades - 3/8 oz. - Low light conditions White skirt/Gold blades - 3/8 oz. All other times x3!! And like a couple others have mentioned, my black with red blade is about 2 years old and has caught more fish than I can count, and I've had to rebend/retune it a few times but it seems to catch even MORE the older it gets. Best buzzbait ever made IMO. When ya get a new one, crimp that rivet and make sure you hold it out the window of yer truck on the way to the lake. Get that blade squealin!
  13. I know how it feels man. 3yrs and 3months of my 9 years in the Army were spent in Iraq. The laptops are a good idea and you'll probably have plenty of down time, depending on your units mission and your MOS, to talk with your family once your unit is settled and things are rolling. Best of luck to you and your unit wherever you may end up. (the tax free paychecks and the extra pay make it just a LITTLE easier to deal with sure your wife will enjoy those too, lol, I know my ex did! haha. In all seriousness best of luck to you brother

  15. x2 for the symetre. Best bang for the buck at that pricepoint imo.
  16. I see you're on 'em as usual, Paul!
  17. Hey Tom, not too sure bout Bryan. He's stationed up in Washington state now so I doubt he'll be makin the trip. I really hope my work schedule will allow me to make it up there. I'd really like to fish guntersville with all of ya'll.
  18. Hoping I can make it, depending on the work schedule. I missed not bein there last year, its always a blast!

  21. Hey everyone. I just got out of the Army after 8 years of service and 3 tours across the pond. I am originally from Jacksonville, FL and am glad to say I'm back, for good this time, not just on leave. Any guys here have any reports or info on some hot spots or a backseat open? Its spring and I'm ready to get on 'em! I hope to hear from you guys.
