good catch is it still that cold down there im only 2.5 hrs north the water in the rivers is at the 50 mark and then lake ontario in the mud line is 47-50 range and out past the mud is slightly lower.

i abuse the heck outa my gear rods especially and my veritas is still flawless its been droped on rocks ramed into the banks hanging out of the back of the canoe tangled in trees well treking threw the woods for me to just rip it out with all my might and havent even bent a guide yet. iv even thrashed it around like a light saber after looseing a fish no issues.

Ill admit ill do it to people I'm fishing with on the bank and by people I mean my nephew or best friend one of them 2 are with me 99.9% of the time and I do it as a joke when they go " oooo got a hit" I joke and fire one in right where they cast and they do it right back but its only them 2 I do it to when on the bank with strangers I stay as far away as possible when fishing ill stop and ask how there bitting and move on. A lot of my spots are kinda a hike and not many people will trek as far threw the woods as me to hit some of my spots. Some times I don't mind people crowding me there's this one handicapped kid that fishes a spot I do and when he comes up to me and starts to fish I try to help him and talk to him last year I gave him a spro frog after catching 2 5lbers in conseqitive casts and he thought I was god after that. So people ane times like that I don't mind one bit

I run into this all the time as I only bank fish I hate it but it makes it better some times when I watch the boater strike out then I pull a 5lb smallie outta the same spot he's poaching on me then he packs up and leaves ahhhh it was nice happend last year bout this time same thing between tstorms

I do make parallel cast when I can some of the spots though are just little holes surounded by trees or bushes that are just big enought to cast in and only straight out. But I do do the weightless fluke along banks when I can I carry 5 dam poles with me one has a weightless fluke for just that its killer

That's what I find funnt I can stalk within feet of deer I stalked a doe to 11 yards when I shot her this past fall but bass not a chance carp don't mind me though I should take up bowfishing

Are spooked fish catchable? i went out last night after easter dinner and i must of kicked 50 fish off the banks i dont own a boat so i bank fish but i always seem to scare away the fish. some spots i know or see that look like they hold fish ill hold back and make far casts to some times it works some times it dont. but most of the time ill aproach a spot to see a swirl or actually see the bass take off. i always try to bomb a lure out to head it off and try to get bit but it never works. are these fish catchable or no. i try to mark the spot and come back carefuly cuz they usually return but it seems no matter what i do they spook even if im 30ft away it seams they sense im looking and bolt. what are your ideas

i go fishing to relax and unwind some times like when me and the wife go to battle and the D word gets tossed around i grab my rods and storm out to get level headed. my first few casts are usually crappy and im fishing fast and sloppy then like a switch i slow down throw a jig catch some pigs and im grinning from ear to ear happy as can be go home and apologize lol. i always catch my biggest fish when fighting with my wife idk why lol. when i go just for fun i catch numbers just no real size usualy there are occasions when i get a biggin

my panic box is packed full of them and in line blue fox spinners. when all else fails i throw one of them and its like a light switch fish magicaly start to bite. that or i start out with them and smoke my nephew small mouth fishing in the river. the fat alberts are by far my fav on jigs or chatter baits iv even thrown em on a spot remover jighead and hopped the bottom with it

never had them i do like them im a Nissan S series guys iv had 2 s13's both did the sr20det swap in both then a nissan 300zTT that thing was crazy. my next build is gonna be a old datsun z 240 or 260 just trouble finding them. but the 3SGTE should work just look for a front clip errr i mean rear clip sense there rear mounted engines.

i went out yesterday after dinner and must of kicked 100 fish off the banks didnt catch a single one but i seen em and got some bites

I seen the same thing yesterday idk though cuz I'm in ny and swimbates seem to me to be a southern giant bass thing. Granted I manage to catch a few slobs each year its just a handfull 90% of my bass are 1-3 lb range the rest are 4-6 range but I have got a 7lber earlier in the week

Its gonna be worse for me this up coming fall till the following fall ill be over in the sand box of Afghanistan that means no fishing for a whole year Idk what I'm gonna do ill go crazy that's the ultimate work getting in the way of fun

Nice lucky sob I had a job offer at the auburn one in ny but I was at annual training for the guard when they wanted me to start and I couldent take the job. 6mo later they called back cuz the guy they hired didn't work out and my mother in law took the call and didn't tell me for 2 weeks I don't think iv ever cussed some out as much as I did that day lol

I bought one last year when they were 89.99 I loved it but like some of the reviews you read they are fragil mine got a kink in it 2 guides down from the tip and snaped when I touched it. I would still buy another now that there cheaper they make good back ups or guest rods

Id have to agree with the 4 to 5lb range it is tuff to judge by pictures some times iv got pics of bass on the scale with it in plain view its 7lbs but it looks like a 3lber cuz of the angle but tthen the same fish diff pic it looks like a true 7.

That's why I love being a teacher I get weeks of just because of stupid "breaks" and all summer off just to fish. Plus I'm home by 245so I get out early on workdays to fish. But I wasn't at work all week been off sense last Friday only got out a handfull of times maybe 4hrs total the weather was sooooo cruddy only got 2 fish all week.

Thanks I might let em sit a little more befor I start throwing em fishing slow is my biggest weakness and ill loose all confidence in swimbaits if I throw em now and fish em to fast
