  1. Now that is a big crappie.
  2. Sometimes the bass want plain GP, sometimes they want flakes. So I use both.
  3. Could have been anything that triggered them to bite. Did you catch all 3 around the same location? They might have just been cruising through when they came across your bait.
  4. I use a Palomar knot for almost everything. When I do use a different knot it's usually an Improved Clinch knot.
  5. Right now moving to a warmer state just for the weather is a no. After retirement, add in some better bass fishing locations, and that no will turn in to a maybe.
  6. Man that bass is huge!
  7. Mann's Baby 1 Minus. BPS Egg. Bandit 100. Storm Sub-Wart. This one is discontinued, but you can still find some on ebay. A lot of my baits are in crawfish, shad, or firetiger colors.
  8. Kolchak The Night Stalker. Started watching it about a month ago one Saturday night when I couldn't sleep. It's your standard monster of the week, but it's very well written.
  9. It was like a spring day here today. High of 16 degrees.
  10. I don't have a dedicated chatterbait rod. I have a dedicated moving bait rod. It's a 7'0" mh/f, but it fishes like a m/f.
  11. The only thing I use braid for is punching. Baitcasters get Big Game, and the spinning reels get either Trilene or Stren.
  12. Congrats on the new PB!
  13. Having to go to the ER and get a hook removed can ruin a day pretty quick for me.
  14. Your catching them on wacky rigs and not t-rigs? What about weightless and split shot rigs, have you tried them? Are you using the same bait for the wacky rigs and the t-rigs?
  15. The distance is about 16 miles or so, but the drive can take anywhere from 20 min. to an hour depending on traffic.
  16. Congrats on that new PB!
  17. Welcome to the forums!
  18. I'll take the snow over the freezing rain anytime.
  19. I always tie direct to the hook using plastic worms.
  20. You might try fishing the water column around one of those mats. Around here the bass get in those surface mats and wait for something to float or swim by.
  21. I've got War Eagle, Booyah, Strike King, Stanley, BPS, and Walmart spinnerbaits. I don't really have a favorite.
  22. Last year it was Zara Spook Jig and craw 4" Finesse Worm Shallow running crankbait 4" Senko
  23. Just got these today. If the water ever thaws out I can use them.
  24. 1/8 ounce bitsy bug with a super chunk jr.
