Are there any private membership lakes in your area?
Way back in the day my Dad belonged to one that was across the river in Illinois. Membership fees were around $25 a year. The catch was that to become a new member you had to have an active member vouch for you. When the membership was opened to the general public the yearly fee skyrocketed. My Dad quit after that.

Trash problem
We can't burn yard waste so the city contracts with a company to have it picked up. The most yard waste bags we can put out is 10. It seems like if you have one or two bags there is no problem, but when you get up near the limit they seem to miss you.

LOZ suggestions
Depending on what the weather is like you may want to consider some of the other lakes already mentioned above. If it's warm out you'll be dodging cruisers and getting hit with boat wakes.

Do you throw a chatter bait on the same rod as a spinner bait?
The rod I choose depends on the weight of the bait I am fishing with. Chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, lipless crankbaits, and large crankbaits all get thrown on the same rig.

What is cool about hard baits
I have a Storm Sub-wart that still gets wet about once or twice a year. I used to fish with it all the time before they went out of production. That bait has caught everything from bluegill to muskie.

Casting jigs in stained/dirty water
I like a dark jig with a big trailer on it. Something that makes the bait easier to see, and gives off some action.

Top Lures for Spring
Around here the bass seem to like moving baits until the weather warms up. My top three are crankbaits, lipless crankbaits, and spinnerbaits.

Million dollar question on setting the drag on baitcaster
I set my drag to around 1/3 or 1/4 to start with. After I'm out on the water I'll adjust it depending on the conditions.

Fish coming off on Chatterbait?
I've noticed on my chatterbaits that the hooks won't stay sharp. I've gotten so everytime I use one, I'll hit the hook with the file to sharpen it back up.

Underrated: Bass Pro Stik-O-Worm
I switched over to Stik-Os some years ago from Senkos. I've never noticed a difference in the bite between the two.

What is your lightest power bait casting combo?
Shimano SLX currently on a mh/f rod, but I'm in the market for a m/f rod. I have 10 lb mono on that rig.

Finesse Texas Rig?
If the bait I have t-rigged up is too light for my baitcaster, then I use my spinning gear. I've never thought about if it was considered finesse or not.

10 Million Dollar Lawsuit Filed in Obion County Central Bass Team Death
I'm not going to go into what I think about the lawsuit. I will say that the ultimate responsibility for both passengers and boat lies with the person in charge of operating the boat. For whatever reason, if the boat operator decides to go on the water with an unsafe boat, or in unsafe conditions, then that operator is putting everyone at risk.

What kind is this fish?
