  1. Happens all of the time.
  2. Monday through Friday get up and go to work. Weekday evenings work in the yard or some other project. Since nothing else is open on the weekends I do a lot of fishing.
  3. Unless we have a very warm spring I will begin fishing with topwater baits in May. I've never had any luck on top in March or April.
  4. 99% of the time I Texas rig the tube.
  5. This year I have been fishing with Smithwick suspending rogues in smaller ponds. I've been using a steady retrieve also.
  6. Prayers sent.
  7. 15 lb big game for crankbaits over 1/4 oz. 10 lb big game for 1/4 oz.
  8. Something has caused the bite to change. Same thing happened to me with lipless crankbaits 2 or 3 years ago. All spring I was catching like crazy on spots, and traps. When the weather started to get warmer the bass just up and stopped hitting lipless cranks.
  9. Original pop-r.
  10. That’s a big bass congratulations!
  11. That’s a nice one!
  12. Still working full time. On the weekends I'm fishing from the bank, reorganizing tackle, working in the yard, chasing moles, and various other household stuff.
  13. Congrats!
  14. Went out yesterday to a conservation dept. lake. Temps were in the high 30's and it was raining. Needless to say there were not a lot of people around.
  15. I always go inside, and I always pay cash.
  16. That's great!
  17. I have been out 4 times. In two trips I’ve caught 2 bass. The other 2 trips I’ve been skunked. I hope April is better than March was.
  18. Around here with those conditions I would look for cover that’s on top of some kind of bottom structure.
  19. You’ve gotten some very good advice. I would carry an anchor just in case you need to sit in one spot and rethink how to do something.
