  1. Congratulations!!
  2. If I’ve been catching for a while and then the bass stop. I stick around because the bite will probably start again in 30 or 45 minutes. If I’ve only gotten one bite in 3 hours I leave.
  3. I always look for water running into the pond. It washes stuff into the pond and the fish hang around there waiting for a meal.
  4. I’ve never even heard of it before.
  5. I would say this guy doing all of the catching has figured out what everyone is fishing with and has changed up his presentation just enough so that it looks new to the bass.
  6. A few year back I decided I was going to learn how to walk the dog with a spook if it killed me. For me, the super spook and original zara spook are the easiest to work with a baitcaster, but I get more hits on a spook jr.
  7. My go to crankbait in the early 2000's was a Storm sub wart in hot tiger color. I still use it from time to time when the bite gets tough.
  8. Jig, t rigged plastics, and crankbaits.
  9. He's quite an angler, good job!
  10. Congrats on the new PB!
  11. Poppers on top, t rigged plastics, shallow running crankbaits, and jigs.
  12. When it's really hot I wear a wide brim hat. The brim covers pretty much all of my face and neck. In spring and fall I wear a buff with a cap.
  13. So sorry for your loss. You and your wife are in our thoughts and prayers.
  14. I’ve been using a white super chunk as a chatterbait trailer. As the temps warm up I will switch over to a white fat albert.

I use to use scent a little bit. I quit using it and have noticed no change

I always use a trailer no matter how I am working the jig.
  17. Welcome back it’s good to hear from you again.
  18. Like others have said, fish with smaller and different baits than everyone else. You might also try fishing with baits that are no longer being produced. Chances are the bass have not seen those baits in quite some time.
  19. When I'm fishing plastic worms the first color I rig up is a 6" grape scoundrel.
  20. For most of April the temps were warm early in the week and midweek. Then on Friday or Saturday we would get a cold front that brought cold rain.
  21. If it's someone I know, and I know they will not trash the lake, then I share my info. If it's a complete stranger then I caught that fish on the other side of the state.
  22. That was very cool.
  23. My 7x reel comes in handy when I’ve worked out a backlash and I’ve got line all over the boat. All of my other reels are 6x speed.
  24. I’ve seen bass in clear water just watch a weightless plastic bait sink to the bottom. The bass will just sit and watch the bait until the bait gets twitched. Then the bass will slam it.
