Drop Shot Main Line You Will Use This Year ?
6 lb straight mono. I do a lot more fishing with a split shot rig then I do with a drop shot.

Mono for spinning reel
I use big game mono on my spinning reels, and I won't go over 10 lb. Different lines have different memory and spool up differently.

-
Silly question
I use mono, and it has probably been on the reel for 3 or 4 months. I trash it.
-
Silly question
I leave my line on until I'm ready to clean the reels just in case there is a warm day in winter when I can get out. When the cleaning begins the line comes off.

New Lake Trout Record set in NH
The old record has held since 1958 that is something.

Symptoms that a prop change is needed
I would check your motor first as @WRB suggested. The only time I've ever had to replace a prop was when it was damaged.

What’s your favorite squarebill rod?
An old BPS 7'0" tourney special rod. It's a mh/f, but it fishes like a m/f.
-
BPS catalog
I haven't seen one yet, but I never open it when I do get one.

My bass won't bite!
How much fishing pressure does this place see? I've had bass act that way in the public park near my house.

What's more versatile: Lipless or Squarebill?
As long as you have exposed treble hooks you are going to hang up, it doesn't matter what the bait is. I would be trying to figure out how deep the snags are and the general area where they are located.

Rostertails are underrated 100%
Most of the fish I catch on rooster tails will be small, but you can't beat a 1/16 ounce for numbers.

When does the season start for you guys?
I'm just waiting until it warms up a bit. If they are right about the temps it is looking like sometime next week I will be out on the water.

Removing a backlash
There are the backlashes you get from casting and the backlashes you get from hitting something behind you when casting. Sometimes they come out and sometimes you cut line.

can i use mono for single hook baits
I used FC a few years ago on my bottom contact rigs. I never noticed any difference than when I had mono spooled on, but I didn't care for it. Now the only rig I don't have mono on is my punch rig.

How much tackle do you take on your boat
When I'm in a boat I take 4 to 5 rods, and my bag with 5 3700 boxes and as much stuff as I can squeeze into the sides. When I'm fishing off of the bank it's usually 2 or 3 rods, and a small tackle box with a little bit of everything crammed into it.

Jerkbait
Smithwick rogue in clown color. That is about the only jerkbait I can get a bite on.
-
Bladed jig color for muddy water
I had good luck last spring fishing with white with visibility of about 6".
-
New Age Staples
Newest bait I use is the chatterbait, and that has been out for quite a while.

Another tragedy
An anchor is one of the things I always carry in the boat, another is a paddle.

Knot for Topwater
15 lb big game with a palomar knot.
