It depends on the wind, and the structure or cover I am fishing at the time.

I fish them the same way I would fish standing timber, or a pile up of logs. I know where there are a couple located, but with the lake levels down they're out of the water now.

I seem to do better with bladed jigs fishing in water that sees a lot of fishing pressure. Most of the people I see out on the water are using spinnerbaits.

The first thing I always do when I plan a trip is to see if I can find some kind of long range forcast. I tweak my plans as the trip gets closer.

The only time I use a spinnerbait over a crankbait is when I am fishing around heavy cover like water willows, or lily pads. The rest of the time I use both and let the bass tell me what they want.

I haven't fished with Daiwa reels in quite a few years. Most of the BC reels I have are Abu and Shimano reels, but I can't really tell how a reel feels until I get it on a rod and make a few casts with it.

Bass Resource is what I watch the most. Sometimes I just do a search on bass fishing, and then start watching the results in the order they popped up.

Outlaw Josie Wales, the original True Grit, and The Magnificent Seven. I have to throw in Blazing Saddles. I bust up every time I watch it.

6:3:1. I like to slow roll chatterbaits along the bottom. I hardly ever burn them.

I check the knot and line after I get free from a snag. I also check after pulling a fish out of heavy cover. I retie when I change baits.

I use them for jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and some topwaters. Jigs and plastics get tied direct.

Last year it was a 4" tube. This year it may be something different.
