  1. I check out the local auctions, garage, and yard sales. Sometimes you can run across some really good deals.
  2. The flu stinks. I had it about 14 years ago. I didn’t think I had it too bad, but I lost my appetite for about 3 days. When I got it back the only thing I felt like eating was fruit.
  3. Nice catching! Anytime you can get out and go fishing in the winter is a good trip.
  4. I would put the topwater away and use a jig and craw.
  5. If it were me fishing I would keep mixing up the baits. I would use my confidence bait only if nothing else is working.
  6. Those are some nice bass.
  7. Welcome to the forums!
  8. My rods are in the basement when not in use, no matter what time of year.
  9. Temp has been dropping all day. Tomorrow the expected high is 15 degrees. There is suppose to be a gradual warm up each day for the rest of the week. They are saying the high Sunday will be near 60. After that the temps will be in the low to mid 40's for the rest of the month. Here's hoping the ice is all gone by Sunday.
  10. I have two bags of them, but I haven't used them in about 2 or 3 years. In the past they have worked quite well.
  11. About the only time I worry about color is when I am fishing water that is shallow and very clear.
  12. I'm still working on it. I learn something new just about every time I go out on the water.
  13. About the only frog I ever use is a Spro.
  14. Good going guys!
  15. I like using a 7’0” rod for the little extra distance when casting in thick slop on the surface. There are times when I don’t want to take the boat into that gunk.
  16. I’m not really brand loyal. When I am looking at a new reel I check the reviews from other people that have used the reel.
  17. Nice going anyway! Your water isn't frozen, and you are getting bites.
  18. If the water levels go up and down a lot, you might want to check Google Earth. Sometimes it will have a timeline photo that shows the structure when the water is down.
  19. At 3:00 PM it was 64 degrees here. Now it is 44 degrees outside. Here we go again.
  20. I usually use white, and chartreuse/white. That being said, I just bought a spinnerbait in bluegill color that I am dying to get wet.
  21. I like to use red or orange lipless baits in muddy water. The color and the rattle seem to draw more bites.
  22. When I find a lake on Google Maps I search for it on the internet just to see if anyone else has fished it and what their experience was like.
  23. Wow! You got some hawgs right there!
