  1. I lost a small Cordell Big-O years ago that would catch bass anywhere. I am not sure what it was about that bait, but the bass loved it.
  2. I use fish topwaters only in the early morning or just before dark. Now I fish them throughout the day if the conditions are right for it. Some of the small lakes I fish get really choked with vegetation so I will be working a pop-r or a frog all day.
  3. I can't see that working when it gets wet.
  4. Tiny paca craw, and super chunk jr. mostly. However, I have used super hogs, 6" plastic worms, and speed craws too.
  5. I fish a t-rig most of the time.
  6. Great wiper! I bet it really slammed that bait when it hit.
  7. Welcome back to the forums!
  8. All my baitcasters are spooled with this^^^.

    Nice looking bass, congrats!
  10. I have gone through phases. I've used snaps for everything, then I tied on directly. Now I use snaps when a bait has a split ring on it.
  11. I have really good luck using the Ultravibe Speedcraws around here.
  12. My take on it is that if you want to use a spincast reel then go ahead. The only thing I would worry about is the quality of the reel, and how much wear and tear it can take.
  13. I use the 6" size for going after the big girls, and the 3" and 4" sizes for when the bite is tough. Over the past couple of years I have become a fan of the 5" size.
  14. Those brush piles that are 40' out from the bank and just under the surface of the water do me in every time.
  15. I've worked for the Facilities Dept. in a Fortune 500 manufacturing company for the past 30 years. I plan on retiring in about 7 to 10 years, buying a boat, and moving somewhere centrally located where there are a lot of lakes.
  16. I have been using Sassy Shads for years. They seem to hold up pretty well.
  17. Well at least they weren't in the air yet.
  18. I prefer a mh/f for crankbaits and spinnerbaits.
  19. Welcome from St. Charles!
  20. Cordel Super Spot Bill Lewis Rat-l-trap Mann's baby 1 minus Smithwick Rattlin Rogue Rebel Pop-r
  21. Zoom Fluke Zoom Baby Brush Hog Mann's 8" Jellyworm Senko Creme 6" scoundrel worm
  22. That is a nice looking bass!
  23. I have been catching them around deep structure, or shallow in the weeds. The bass are being very picky in what they are hitting. I have only had luck casting small swimbaits, and Mann's 1 minus crankbaits. I'm not sure if it's the weather or what.
