  1. Welcome to the forums!
  2. I rinse out old prescription pill bottles that my meds come in. I write the hook sizes on the labels with a sharpie. Easy to move the hooks between boxes and you don't have to worry about spills.
  3. The only fishing related items I leave in my car are rags, lure retrievers, and an anchor. Everything else gets taken out when I get back from a trip.
  4. The longest rod that I use is 7'0". Sometimes when fishing from the bank a long rod is not your friend.
  5. Green pumpkin, junebug, and watermelon candy work pretty much all the time for me.
  6. The bass around my area have been in 3 to 5 feet of water, and have been going after moving baits. I've been using shallow running crankbaits, lipless baits, and small swimbaits. I haven't tried bladed jigs or spinnerbaits yet.
  7. Lakes around me were open in February, but in early March they froze back up again. It finally looks like they are going to stay thawed now.
  8. Welcome back to the forums!
  9. That's cool! Congrats!
  10. It kind of looks like a rogue wave.
  11. Nice going Lake!
  12. 10 to 20 mph winds I drop a heavy anchor from the bow and drop a smaller anchor off the back to stop the boat from swinging around. With winds more than 20 mph, depending on the lake, I fish from the bank. On the flip side of that, if I am on a grassy flat with no obstacles in front of me, I will let the wind move the boat across the flats, and then motor back to where I started from.
  13. I find that if I am familiar with the water I am fishing I won't have more than 4 combos out. If I am fishing water that I don't know then I will have 5 or 6 out. If I had more rods out than that I would probably be knocking them into the water.
  14. I either drag it a little at a time, or I move it with short hops. Whichever way I work the bait, I work it slow.
  15. I stopped using them for a while, and now I am using them again. They come in handy when your fishing in cold weather and your fingers are cold.
  16. I put on a ton of sunblock on my arms, legs, and neck. My wide straw hat protects my head and face. One more plus to the sunblock is that I am starting to think it repels the mosquitoes. Either they don't like the taste of it, or it covers my scent.
  17. Nice one!
  18. Congrats!
  19. Spring started here a couple of weeks ago. We are suppose to have snow tomorrow.
  20. Good one!
  21. I have it narrowed down to a wacky rig or a split shot rig.
  22. Good going! I hate fishing on windy days. It always seems like I am fighting the wind more than fishing.
