  3. Green pumpkin, watermelon seed, and junebug is about all I ever use.
  4. I like a 6'6" medium with a fast tip for shallow running crankbaits, and light spinnerbaits. For deep divers and heavy spinnerbaits I use a 7'0" med. heavy with a fast tip.
  5. OK. I invented it. I had a bass tear up a Texes rigged Senko and I was too lazy to put on a new bait.
  6. Until about 14 years ago all I ever used were crankbaits. Then I was on a trip with my friends, and they were killing the bass on plastics. Then I went the other direction, and only fished plastics for about 6 years. Now when I head out on a trip I have both rigged up.
  7. I have only had one hit using a bubble gum fluke. I've never tried a bubble gum senko before.
  8. That's a nice looking bass!
  9. I'll wear a pair of Muck's in the morning if I am fishing off of the bank, but I usually put on a pair of tennis shoes after the dew dries. Those Muck's get uncomfortable real quick in the heat and humidity.
  10. I have good luck with the 2 inch Mister Twister Sassy Shad on a 1/8 ounce jig head. That is my go to bait when things get slow.
  11. We installed new kitchen cabinets when we moved into our house. Some of the original overhead cabinets went in the basement and in the garage.
  12. I'd rub it in and ask him to make sure my fishing log was correct for each fish caught.
  13. There are two things I watch out for when I go fishing, snakes and poison oak, sumac, and ivy.
  14. This morning I took 3 rigs with me and left one in the car. I had a baitcaster rigged weightless for fishing Senkos and flukes, a spinning reel rigged up for finesse plastics, and another spinning reel rigged up for shallow running crankbaits / spinner baits. I had everything I would need for the day in my Plano 1155 tackle box.
  15. I catch more bass with a Jitterbug.
  16. Nice looking bass right there!
  17. Earlier this year a friend of mine put me on to using red or orange baits in muddy water. Now I keep a couple in the box just in case.
  18. There's nothing like trying to get a backlash out while there is a bass hooked on the other end of the line.
  19. Nice going! Great looking tiger!
  20. For crankbaits around a 1/4 ounce I like to use a 6'6" Med. spinning outfit. When I am fishing with heavier crankbaits, or deep running baits that have some resistance I like a 7'0" MH casting rig.
  21. I use sunscreen. I don't know if it is the scent, or the mosquitoes don't like to taste it, but two years ago I noticed that where I had applied sunscreen I wasn't getting bitten. The sunscreen doesn't work for ticks too well.
  22. This past week the numbers have turned on. The bass have been sitting in the vegetation right next to the bluegill beds.
