  1. Looks like you had a pretty good fight bringing that drum in. Good job!
  2. I will look at a map for a general idea of where I am going and the layout of the lake. I don't mark spots until I have fished the area.
  3. 6-02 pounds.
  4. Well yesterday I drove out and looked at the ice on the lake.
  5. I want to drop about 20 pounds. Hopefully I can do it before the water thaws.
  6. I caught my PB on a 5/8 ounce jitterbug right before 6 AM on a hot still morning. Cast it out and let it sit until water around it was calm. When I twitched it the bass hit.
  7. I keep about 20 or so unopened jigs in my tackle bag that are different sizes and colors. Just in case I start loosing them around cover. Other than that everything has been opened up.
  8. I didn't break the 5 pound mark this year, and only broke the 4 pound mark once. That bass was on a Chrome/blue back Cordell Super Spot.
  9. I use my telescopic retriever more for getting baits out of trees than for getting my own baits back.
  10. Never carry one. I have a pocket knife in my pocket and pliers and wire cutters in the tackle bag.
  11. That's the way to fish a jig! Good job!
  12. Happy 2017 BR Forum! The wife and I are staying in tonight and watching a movie off of On Demand.
  13. Besides bass I would have to say Crappie, Muskie, and Catfish.
  14. For me it depends on what is around the vegetation. I look for structure like creek beds and deep spots first. If there is wood around all the better.
  15. I usually use a MHF, but depending on the cover I will use a HF.
  16. It's great moving the Pop-r along making it splash, and then seeing that bigger splash as a bass takes the bait under.
  17. I can't wait either. Most of the lakes around me are ice right now. My tackle box is reorganized and I am going to start cleaning reels next. That should take me through the end of January.
  18. Mann's 1 minus is what I use most of the time. Second on my list is a Storm sub-wart.
  19. Zoom finesse worm, Zoom speed worm, or a Creme 6" worm.
  20. Chrome w/ blue back, followed by natural craw color in clear water. Smokey Joe in muddy or stained water.
  21. I have used both painted and unpainted weights. I never noticed a difference in the amount of bites I got.
  22. Smithwick Rogues are about all I ever use anymore.
  23. A-rigs and Whopper Plopper are the first two that comes to mind.
