  1. Plastics and crankbaits. No question about it.

All the time when I get into traffic.
  3. Zoom z-nail. I bought about 6 bags several years ago when they were on sale. Now I only have 4 baits left.
  4. That is a monster right there, good job!
  5. A private lake filled with hawgs.
  6. Crankbaits, lipless baits, bladed jigs, and plastic craws.
  7. Congrats on the new PB!
  8. Get down to the reservoirs in the Ozarks more than I have been.
  9. I use a 6'6" m-f spinning rod for the 1/4 ounce size.
  10. I don't shorten the skirt, but I do even it out by trimming the long pieces. I also fan out the weed guard. If I can't get the weed guard to stay away from the hook then the guard gets trimmed.
  11. Depends on the situation.
  12. I don't know if you would call this a beaver or not, but I like the Zoom superhog. They seem to work very well in the neighborhood ponds.
  13. I like to T-rig them with a 1/16 weight, and a 2/0 hook. I drag them right across the tops of the weeds, pads, and milfoil.
  14. I have gone about 50 times so far. If the weather holds I will be able to squeeze a few more days in.
  15. My strengths would be fishing jigs, crankbaits, and Texas rigged plastics. I need to work on fishing jerkbaits, and my dropshot presentation.
  16. My Dad use to take me fishing when I was about 4 or 5, about 48 or 49 years ago. Dad would fish for catfish and I would go after panfish. My first reel was a Johnson Century 100A, but I started with a cane pole. I started targeting bass back in the mid 80's, but then my fishing really slowed down due to college, work, and family. Since 2002 I have been going out after bass as long as the water is not frozen.
  17. Bass move around. If you are catching little ones, I would fish another spot for a few hours and them come back. The bigger bass may have moved in by then.

I work 40+ hours a week because I got tired of catching hawgs all of the time.
  19. Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
  20. I never use a trailer on a spinnerbait.
  21. I would try a crankbait, or a lipless crankbait. Reel it back just fast enough so that it doesn't hang in the grass.
  22. I will be going after bass while my wife is hitting the stores. It's going to be fairly cool here so I don't expect many people to be out on the water.
  23. Probably a 6" grape/purple plastic worm.
