  1. My 20+ year old Mitchell 308 finally bit the dust this past weekend. I'm looking at spending less than $100, and I am going to put the new reel on a 7'0" ML rod. I am kind of leaning toward a president reel, but I thought I put it out on the forum to see what everyone else thinks.
  2. Sometimes older baits that the bass have not seen in a while really work well.
  3. Welcome to the forums!
  4. In no order Zoom Super Fluke in watermelonseed Zoom Ultravibe Speed Craw in green pumpkin Zoom Superhog in green pumpkin BPS 5-3/8" Stik-o in junebug
  5. Shallow running crankbaits, and lipless crankbaits. Jigs too if the bass are in the mood for them.
  6. I would guess somewhere between 4 and 6.
  7. Welcome aboard. Keep the peace. Tell her it's a smallmouth, and life will be easier.
  8. Making memories is what it's all about.
  9. Nice looking bass. Looks like you are fishing in some pretty thick growth.
  10. 15# Big Game. Read about it on this site, and started using it when I couldn't find Yo-Zuri locally.
  11. I have two Pflueger presidents. I use one for light t-rigged plastics, and one for crankbaits in the 1/4 ounce range. Never had any issues with either of them.
  12. I have been putting Berkley Big Game 15# in green on my baitcasters for the past 6 or 7 years. This year the spinning reels have 10# Big Game on them.
  13. Congrats to him, good job!
  14. What has really helped me out when I take my reels apart is having a piece of paper numbered 1,2,3,4...... I set down the parts in order, then I just put the parts back together in order.
  15. We call green sunfish that size catfish bait.
  16. The topwater bite has been very slow for me this fall. September was a bust, and so far in October the only bait that seems to be working is a black jitterbug.
  17. I would say spring in Mo. That is when the weather can change in a second. The high temp might be 35 on Monday and 80 on Wednesday.
  18. I will probably be able to retire in about 8 years. I can't wait to get out on any water I want when I want.
  19. Nice trout!
  20. At least he is being honest about it.
  21. Anyone used this bait yet?
