I have two of the presidents. With those reels you get a lot of bang for your buck.

Well so far this year I have caught them on shallow running crankbaits, senkos, and bladed jigs. Most of them have been shallow.

In the winter they get broken down and cleaned up good. During the summer the get oil and grease as needed. If I am going to be walking the bank I try to prop up the rod so the reel is not on the ground.

I try to get out if the water isn't frozen. If there is ice I reorganize tackle, sharpen hooks, and check out my fishing holes. I also look for new lakes to fish in.

I have been using a lot of shallow running crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and bladed jigs. I also like to make sure that I have a waterproof hat. I hate when my head gets wet.

Things were a lot more simple back then.

Sometimes there is a fine line between could you and should you.

I had the wedge too. On the coldest day of the season I couldn't get my coat closed because of it. Take it easy and have a speedy recovery.

It all depends on where you can get the best deal on the reels.

Look for cover and structure that breaks up the current, and wear a pfd especially in this cold weather.

Jig with some kind of trailer on it.

I have never used blue, but I have good luck on the grape worms.

I have caught some nice catfish while deadsticking. Bass aren't the only fish looking for an easy meal.

Good job dealing with the wind and cold weather. I will go out when the temp is in the 30's as long as there is no wind. Other than that I wait until the temp is in the 40's.
