  1. Some of them do and some of them don't. I've had some luck with the white bellies, but this year I've noticed that the bass seem to go after the solid black or solid white frogs better.
  2. This year I listened to what everyone was saying on BR. I started using a black frog and a white frog, and my number of bites went up. All of the green and brown colored frogs went into their own box on the shelf.
  3. I'd be pitching into the brush as the water comes back up.
  4. No more throwing away the tail end of a Senko bait, but I can definitely see the sunfish coming after these.
  5. I'm still stuck at 6-1/2 but a lot of nice pics.
  6. Happy Birthday! May all of your gift cards be big ones!
  7. Bone, Baby Bass, and Clear for Spooks. Clear and Leopard Frog for the Tiny Torpedo.
  8. Gas money?
  9. Missouri requests that you thoroughly clean boots, waders, boats, trailers and fishing tackle between uses. Do not transfer mud, aquatic plants, water or fish parts from one body of water to another.
  10. MH/F or MH/XF depending on the rod manufacturer. Probably 95% of my jig fishing is around some type of brush, rock, or vegetation. I've lost more bass by them getting buried in cover than I have by the bass throwing the hook.
  11. I'm looking to purchase a heavy rod for frogging and maybe punching. The heavies I have now are around 25 to 30 years old and they have seen their share of action over the years.
  12. Zoom Super Chunks in both sizes, Netbait Paca Chunks. Speed craws. Rage Craws. Whatever plastic bait is in the bottom of the tackle bag.
  13. I like the BPS Stiko baits. They last longer than Senkos and you get more in a bag. Most of the rods I use for moving baits are from BPS also. I'll use Carbonlites, Bionic Blades, and some of the older maroon colored rods when I'm casting baits around. They may not be quite as light as other rods, but I don't worry about breaking one while flipping. @TOXIC, that is a interesting point. When Mann's went out of business a couple of years ago, BPS stopped selling their Egg shallow running crankbait. The Egg was a good bait and I've always wondered if they were made by Mann's.
  14. Pocket knife, boat anchor, hats, and a fishing stringer are the things I can think of right now.
  15. I caught this PB out of a pond back in June. It's rare around here for a crappie to get to this size in a 3 acre pond.
  16. Hi Mike, welcome from Missouri.
  17. I can remember all of the nicer sized bass I have caught, and for the rest of them I have pics and the excel spreadsheet to help me remember.
  18. Merry Christmas to all of Bass Resource!
  19. Weightless plastic worms fished shallow or deep. I just had to let them sink down on their own. 3" or 4" Jerkbaits. Sometimes fished with action, but most of the time I just brought the bait back with a straight retrieve. Bottom contact jig and craw combo pitched into vegetation or brush.
  20. I've been burned over the years too many times from baits that I just know will catch fish. Now when I see a bait I like I do a little research on it. Then I go out and buy it.
  21. I've never seen a jig or bladed jig that is completely weedless. If I'm fishing in weedy cover I'll try a swim jig or a small size bottom contact jig that can be popped free.
  22. I'm back home and on the mend. Came home Wednesday afternoon with a list of things to do and things not to do. Big one is to keep drinking water and keep everything hydrated. The other big thing is not to lift anything more than 10 lbs for the next two weeks.
  23. Thanks everyone! I don't mind going in for a trim, but I want to come home with all of my original equipment.
  24. I went to the doctor with what I thought was a bladder infection. I had all the symptoms except the pain. Turns out I have an enlarged prostate that they will need to do surgery on to trim if down a little. Thank goodness no cancer. I go to the hospital Tuesday morning, and I will need to spend the night so they can monitor the bleeding. If all looks good I can come back home sometime Wednesday.
