  1. I don't use scent on a regular basis, but I have noticed after I apply sunblock I tend to get more bites. Not sure if its just me, or if the sunblock is covering my scent on the baits.
  2. I like the Ultravibe speed craws also. They work very well when I am pulling across the tops of weeds.
  3. IMO, if you caught it legally it counts.
  4. First time that I took my youngest daughter out fishing. She was jumping all over the place when she caught her first sunfish.
  5. Around here after a front rolls by the bass tend to want to stay close to wood, and the strike zone is almost nothing. I look for wood that is in a creek bed or around a drop off first and then go from there.
  6. Google the river and see if anyone else has fished it, and what their result was.
  7. Good job! Nice looking pike!
  8. If that would have formed where I was, I would have been going the other way.
  9. Catch that fish again next week. Maybe You'll get a high priced crank.
  10. There is no way I am showing that to my wife. I am not opening that can of worms.

I make lists. I have certain caps I wear depending on the job I am doing. Oh wait, I am starting to make a list.......
  12. I like the bigger worms this time of year. It seems around here that the bass will start going after bigger baits before they will hit a finesse bait.
  13. I use the SK flippin bugs all the time. I have never had a fish straighten one, but I have straightened the hooks pulling free of structure.
  14. Rat-l-traps around weeds, or wood.
  15. Glad to hear there were no infections or complications.
  16. If I can reach them I like to throw a small jig into the middle and let it through. The jig will usually get bit as it clears the bottom of the baitfish.
  17. Wow! You caught some nice ones!
  18. Yep. Bull shoals is one of the hardest lakes that I have ever fished. We have gone to that lake in the middle of summer, and have done nothing during the daylight hours. I would try fishing right before sun up and right after sun set. Topwater baits along bluffs or jigs back in the coves.
  19. The great lakes are inland seas. There is no way I am getting on one of those lakes in a bass boat.
  20. Welcome to the forums! As mentioned above, if it were me I wouldn't be in a big rush to buy something. I would hold onto my money and save it up.
  21. Extreme workouts?
  22. WTG! Your doing some good catching.
  23. Nice looking bass, congrats!
  24. Good job! Glad your dry spell has ended.
