  1. Not so much a lure, but a color. I use to have a big-o that was silver and had chrome glitter on it. I use to catch a ton of fish on that thing.
  2. I get mine cleaned a few at a time. I hate to miss a nice fishing day just because all of my reels are out being serviced.
  3. I have no problem with brand loyalty as long as the product quality is consistant. Too many times I have see the quality start to lapse just because the company was #1, and they had a good amount of brand loyalty.
  4. I would see if you can take your new rod with you when you look at reels. I would check the feel of each reel on the rod.
  5. Fire Tiger Brown Crawfish Shad Color
  6. I like to fish them in the shallows and over the tops of weeds. I always fish them weightless. For some reason I don't like the action when they have a weight on them.
  7. Never met one myself, but my Dad met KVD at Grandpa Pigeons way back in the day. I think it was when KVD was just getting started as a pro.
  8. Baby brush hog.
  9. Someone you know can get you a job, or put in a good word for you that help with the selection process. In the long run, however, it will be your performance that will decide if you will continue with that job or not.
  10. I have noticed that certain baits work better during certain times of the year. Around here tubes work best in the spring. Cranks, and lipless baits, work best when it starts cooling down a little. Plastics work best when it is hot, or when it is cold outside.
  11. For cranks I like crawfish, firetiger, and shad. For topwaters I like green or black.

I think just catch the fisherman in the bait store.
  13. I rarely look at rods and reels when I go to the store. Cranks and plastics are another story.
  14. I've been busy at work and home so the only thing I have bought is a spool of line, and some 1/8 oz. jigs. Tomorrow I am planning a run to a couple of little bait shops to see what they are carrying.
  15. Cool post. Thanks for the info.
  16. With my oldest it was Barney's Great Adventure. My youngest was into anything about Winnie the Pooh.
  17. My wife and I both got Samsung Blaze smartphones for Xmas. The first thing I did to both phones was go in and modify the settings. You can save a ton of battery life if you turn off some of the notification features.
  18. That is why I work out at home.
  19. If I can fit it in my bag I bring it along.
  20. Your going to have to explain what wind chill is to the guys down south.
  21. Nice pics. You should try and get these in a conservation mag.
  22. Some good stuff here.
  23. This time of year with spinnerbaits I start off letting them hit the bottom, and then working them just fast enough so that I can feel the blades spin. I will work a lipless bait just fast enough to clear any cover and not get snagged.
  24. I use a 3/0, or a 4/0 size hook. It depends on what I will be working the bait through.
