Dedicated Weightless Senko rod...what do you use?
I don’t have a dedicated rod, but the rod I use is a 6’6” St. Croix Premier.

Bingo^^.

whats your go to lure or rig
This year I have been fishing with swim jigs, spinnerbaits, and chatterbaits. There is a lot of brush and dead vegetation in the water I have been fishing. Treble hooks won't work too well.

Anyone T-rig a finesse worm ?
I will cast out a Texas rigged Zoom Finesse worm on a 2/0 hook with either a 1/16 or 1/8 weight. If the bass don't want that I'll it try weightless or on a split shot rig.

Does This Qualify For The Found Lures Thread?
I've heard of guys diving down at Lake of the Ozarks for items that people have dropped into the lake. They bring up items like wallets, watches, jewelry, and phones.

Defective battery?
I had a battery terminal get so hot that I couldn't pull the cable off of it barehanded, but I have never seen one melt down like that before. I have a 40-pound Minn Kota that I bought back in 2016. I can notice an increase all settings except 3 to 4. 5 really moves a 14-foot jon boat.

Are most people opposed to live sonar?
When I retire and get a boat and can afford FFS then I will come up with an opinion.

Spinning Reels vs Baitcasters
I started fishing with a spinning reel years before I started fishing with a baitcaster. For me there are some presentations that I need a spinning reel for, and presentations where a baitcaster works better.

Do you go over.....?
I try to stay in the weight range. If the rod feels like it can handle it I will go over a little, but usually not over 1/8 ounce or so.

Some smart guys get very rich. Rich guys get girls. It takes looks right out of the equation.

I don't think I own anything that would be considered high ticket.

Trade in
You have to watch their sales right after the Spring Classic. A couple of years ago I traded one of my dad's old Abu rods in for a Shimano SLX. I think I got a $10 or $15 discount. I was also wanting a Bionic Blade rod to use for casting lighter moving baits, but they never had the length or power that I wanted. About a month after the classic was over the store near me got in a shipment of Bionic Blades, and had them on sale for the trade-in price that they were advertising during the classic.

My daughter got me to try it one time. Never again.

Four season anglers, which season gives you the most trouble?
Winter is the worst. I may get some warm days here or there, but it's usually not enough to melt the ice if the lake is frozen over.

Daiwa Tatula CT 100 Brake dial slips?
I have my Tatulas set to 8 too. I finally figured out that I was turning the brake dial while palming the reel. I started holding the rod by the handle and haven't had any more problems with it.

A lot of my hits come away from cover
If the bass are outside of the cover they may be trying to ambush forage that wander out of it. I'll throw the bait into the cover, but I won't fish it. I start working the bait as soon as I get it back out into open water.

Rapala OG Rocco
Kind of reminds me of the Strike King KVD crankbaits.

Continue to search for active bass vs slowing down -when?
I will use one bait, but I might spend 10 - 15 min. fishing a target from different angles. I'll change baits after 2 or 3 spots if I'm not getting any bites.
