  1. X2 makes me wonder why I even own my loomis rods anymore for the price they can't be beat
  2. I don't think it's supposed to be like that it looks bent to me but I would wait for someone like DVT to chime in
  3. Before school, sometimes during my easy classes, after school when I'm not fishing, slow days at work, and at night
  4. Do you guys make a hawg handle for it?
  5. I've used it on a 6'6" MH st.croix premier a G.Loomis BCR 853 GLX and MBR 843 IMX
  6. I just got one of these reels since I've heard so much about the older shimanos and it's a little tough to adjust to it's heavy, big and doesn't balance well on most of my rods. What would you guys use this reel for? Or should I sell it?
  7. I've used it it's not bad I wouldn't say it really has any advantages or disadvantages over green but I use it for reaction baits mainly
  8. I'll be different here I like the Yo-Zuri rattlin vibe
  9. My GLX has recoils (no inserts) and I don't even notice them being much louder at all with braid and I doubt it will knick your line.
  10. I have the vintage jars of it can't find anyone to buy them so I'm thinking about using them
  11. I only worry about it in thick grass. I use the 6th sense stoppers they work great.
  12. I was really hoping for something other than silver
  13. now a days $500 can go to a lot worse things than fishing gear and if he earned the money himself there's no issue.
  14. I would go with #1 I actually use a medium heavy, but I fish in a lot of cover.
  15. I would also be interested in a new site to learn more info
  16. We don't have pike around here so I'll let someone else chime in on that
  17. It doesn't matter what you use for backing since you should use enough braid to complete a cast and then some more. Electric tape isn't necessary and I've never done it. I would use your 8# mono just enough so you don't see the holes in your spool and then take maybe ten more cranks or so then tie your braid.
  18. Yes the backing prevents the line from slipping around the spool and it also prevents you from wasting braid on the spool that you won't even use.
  19. I own 4 citicas and 3 curados the citica is an absolute tank. I think you made the right move
  20. See if you can find a citica E series I have 4 and have put them through a lot ,and they are tough
  21. Color it with a black or green sharpie or add a fluorocarbon leader
