  1. Interesting question. I would check with what ever authority is charging the fee. Most ramps at Mark Twain Lake, a Corps of Engineers Lake, charges ramp fees. that are waived if you have a Senior Pass.
  2. First boat was 10 or 12 foot aluminum deep V powered by oars. Next boat was a Spectrum 14 ft deep V 15 HP and added an Old Town Loon 138 and kayaked fish before it was a big thing. In 2002 went to a Fisher Marine Marsh Hawk 165 Deep V 50 HP Mercury, still have that one. Upgraded the old Loon 138 Kayak to a Loon 126 couple years ago. Spend more time in the Loon than I do the Marsh Hawk 165.
  3. Your kayak is made from very durable Polylink 3. I had a Loon 138 made from that stuff for 19 years and sold it o a guy who could probably get another 19 years out of it. Just use a little common sense and it will last. The Dirogo is not roto molded it is made from Polylink 3, and is very durable.
  4. I mostly anchor in shallow water using the anchor trolley with a home made stake out pole made from an 8 foot tomato stake with PVC 3/4" T fitting.
  5. Yes and if I win the lottery will have one along with a home on the great lakes to use it in the summer and take to Florida for the winter. .
  6. I like the auto inflate, lightweight, cool. You forget you have them on.
  7. I have a journal that I record where I fish, kayak or boat, weather conditions, lures used etc and anything interesting that may have happened.
  8. My friend has one. Nice boats. He had to fix a few minor issues with the motor but that is to be expected in an older boat.
  9. 80lb thrust transom mount is in interesting. Since it is you main propulsion might be the way to go. I spend a majority of time on electric only lakes and was thinking if my the 50 Mercury needed major repair this might be an alternative. $1489 new isn't that much more than an 80 lb Bow mount. https://mk.factoryoutletstore.com/details/159689/minn-kota-vantage-80-24v-80lb.html?category_id=20866&catalogitemid=141757
  10. Bass Pro has the auto/manual inflating life vest on sale $79. So comfortable you forget you have it on.
  11. Cheapest solution might be 2 12 volt batteries in parallel with your current trolling motor. Extending your battery life on the water.
  12. A 24 foot Boston Whaler is as good as it gets.
  13. Impressive work! Looks better than new.
  14. Thanks I almost ordered but seemed too good to be true.
  15. I got an email from fishingcarepackage.com offering Abu Garce Revo S for $49. Too good to be true? Any buy from them?
  16. I got mine at Harbor Freight. E-trailer has a nice one for $64.95 https://www.etrailer.com/Bed-Extender/MaxxTow/MT70231.html?feed=npn&msclkid=669981ff1853131bfd96dfc7d161de3b&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Bing | Shop - Bed Extender&utm_term=4577473066785624&utm_content=Bed Extender
  17. I have since taken them apart and bolted them to the bar.
  18. If you decide to go with hauling in your truck bed with a bed extender you can easily add lights to the bed extender. I have hauled my old 14 foot yak on a 5' 3" bed and and never pulled over for having a load extending to far out
  19. If I am reading your post correctly you plan on throwing a heavy tarp over the cover as well when the boat is stored. Learned the hard way you end up up with mold and mildew on the boat cover from condensation that builds up between the covers.
  20. I prefer tin boats but I don't see them being used by the majority of pro's because the glass boat industry has too big of foot hold and a lot to lose.
  21. Dick's Sporting Goods what are they thinking? First AR's now they quit selling fishing gear in retail stores! Ask an employee if that was just the Wentzville MO store and he said was the whole region. He went on to say well you can order online. I have no reason to go to any of their stores again.
  22. I have an Old Town Loon 126 sit in. Rigged with Lowrance Hook2 5x, transducer reads thru hull behind seat, anchor trolley 2, home made stake out pole, adjustable rod holders an 2 recessed rod holders behind the seat. Another rod holder on the removable work deck. The adjustable seat is very comfortable.
  23. I only had my big boat out twice last year as I spend more time and catch more fish from my kayak. Have been thing about selling my Marsh Hawk 165V and getting a pedal kayak. I still will keep the Old Town Loon 126 if I sell the big boat.
  24. H2o Express Shad color square bill
