When you contact them they will see the previous problems. Just be blunt say it is crazy that your replacement rod was a complete dud. Ask for compensation for your trouble and missed time on the water. I use this tactic whenever I deal with any customer service and have gotten everything from extra Comcast boxes to multiple months of free cable. They will most likely work with you.

Actually I am going to try out the imaged spinnerbaits, the e chip sounds like a gimmick.

Has anyone ever fished this line? I want to try a new line out just to test it out. I am probably going to pick up sunline sniper for leader material so this would be used strictly as a solid main line for cranking.

I still use an older lightening rod as one of my setups. I have caught countless fish on it and its still in one piece.

Pm the location of where you are at. Also the squarebill can be killer I always do well with rapala shad raps in those creeks. Stop and go retrieve, sometimes i fish it like a jerkbait.

I fish in the south west suburbs a lot and other places outside of chicago. I like throwing crawfish colored crankbaits from upstream and even downstream to get reaction bites. Look for the line in which the current stops and where the water is standing still at that line there is usually bass. Even if your spot is not good now it can be when it warms up.

Think water temperature not air temperature. My friends have gone fishing mid january on power plant lakes where the bank is covered with snow and there is steam coming off of the water. The air temperature is in the 30s but the water temperature is pretty warm. I feel like the winter is a slow time in general but that does not mean you cannot catch fish.

Some of them look super thick.

I use the kvd elite treble hooks on kvd 1.5s. You just need to make sure you get the right size hooks so they dont get tangled up often.

I was told to avoid that line of g loomis rods once before, havent used them. I would say take a look at the elite tech line by fenwick.

It annoys me to no end I worked in a bait shop over summer and people would come in with their catches of baby bluegill and catfish and I am just like get that off of my counter. Whenever the DNR releases fish it is like open season , they take beyond the limit. Most of the time they come in complaining that they have to buy a license .

My tackle shop uses it to hold up signs and hang things, just another use for 65lb braid.

Just remember that the water temps play a key more than the air temps. The higher air temps will get you on the water but dont forget the fish are going to be slow in the cold water. Get that shakey head out also.

Fluorocarbon is a different story than mono, one small little nick or bend can cause it to snap. Also when fishing in a tournament I do not like to risk losing a fish so I switch line pretty often. Then again during tournament season I am fishing at least twice mon- thurs and then friday saturday and sunday.

A local angler has a similar program going on with our local pond. It was first stocked about 3-4 years ago and fishing opened on it two years ago. You cant keep any bass or other fish so in a few years its going to have a really messed up population. To combat this the local angler catches lunker small mouth and large mouth and dumps them in for breeding purposes. The dnr is broke so we might as well do what they are paid to do.

Has it been left out without a cover before? It looks like it has I would check the wood for rot. Not a bad boat for 3000 just know that if i bought this boat I would want to redo the seats, carpeting on the deck and possibly engine work.

I use columbia pfg gear, though the set is not cheap it is worth it.

Thats opposite of a burner reel? If anything thats best for slow rolling and deeper baits.
