  1. That first sentence is false. Replace "soft plastic" with live bait and then you will be correct. Every guy I know keeps all of their baits after a day of fishing and if they dont like them they give them away after a few outings not one.
  2. Try and update your flash and other plugins.
  3. Try to match the hatch and switch up colors.
  4. Texas rig it, also the hyper finesse worm texas rig produces.
  5. Most people I know do that when they want to bounce it off of tree limbs and such so the front hooks dont catch wood. It is not something I do though.
  6. Or as others refer to it cotten corcrap...
  7. My friends have Wisconsin boat ids. Just because a boat has a different id doesnt make it a scam .
  8. I like to throw the 1.5 into cover and bounce it off logs and such. The square bills work much better when you deflect them off of something. You might want to try deeper water and crank baits this time of the year .
  9. Palomar knot is good enough IMO.
  10. d**n for $75 if it ran I would have bought it, but thats understandable.
  11. The 7th post on this topic this week. Have you heard about the guy that put lead in his fish in an FLW ( not sure if it was an FLW or what) tournament it is pretty old but ballsy.
  12. Maintenance wipe - when you are not having that " oh so fresh" feeling. ( second time I posted this but it applies here as well)
  13. http://www.bassmaster.com/bassmaster-tournament-trail-schedule < list of the opens including the northern opens.
  14. Look at the locations of most people on this forum. They all vary from place to place I am a lot closer to chicago than you but fish south of chicago. We might have similar patterns and fish the same areas but a lot of these guys dont. Also Midwest lakes are known to be pretty shallow in general compared to the deeper lakes of the south. The good thing about this forum is that guys do chime in on location from time to time. The local fishing section is not used well enough. I would rather have a section for the Midwest rather than the northeast. The conditions in New York are going to be way different than here.
  15. Im not the type of person to support boating while high , drunk etc under the influence.
  16. **Tackle**Warehouse has a great selection focused on bass only. At bass pro you will find everything under the sun. The only time i use BPS is for feeling reels before I buy them somewhere else or if I am given a gift card. Free shipping on orders over $50 at TW is also a plus also they have pretty good sale items, BPS sales tend to be things no one wants.
  17. This video helps explain the different styles of swimbaits. It does a pretty good job of explaining the tail differences and when to use them. Just apply this information to smaller swim baits and combine it to the suggestions in this thread .
  18. Come spring / summer time that is what I am coming to be using to punch. Texas rigged I use a 3/0 ewg hook.
  19. Last guy I met from the Netherlands came into the bait shop I was working at and I sold him $800 worth of gear. I need to get into whatever line of work you people do lol.
  20. You cannot sell ideas. I have a ton of ideas doesnt mean they will work or people will buy them. Make a prototype, you will only need a small amount of resources. You can fine tune things later.
  21. Talk to quantum about it. Pointless to return it to the store because you might not find that same rod with a warranty at that price.
  22. Also a boat load of money as well. What you need to do is create a working prototype. Without giving out too much information what type of product are you thinking about making? A new style of crank baits or just color schemes. If you want to get into the color scheme business think about graphic design and stuff like that for college. Friend of mine is a graphic designer and he creates our custom jersey designs.
