I received the "SPOT" Sattellite Personal Tracker for my birthday. Does anyone have one of these trackers or one like it? Wife got this for me to take on the boat so I can notify authorities of an emergency situation and she can track where I am on Google maps. Just wondering.

I have pulled a worm out of a bass' behind and she was eating and doing well.

When I bought my Silver Anniversary Tracker Pro Team 185 (had to say it like the NASCAR guys, sorry) my wife picked it out at a local dealer in Richmond. She wanted to make sure it was stable and would not turn over. I take the boat to both the BPS store in Hampton and Jerry Cooper near the new BPS south of Ashand for service. Jerry does a fantastic job with the boat and motor. He explains everything and treats you like a human being and you can talk to his mechanics and not some dumb "order taker" at BPS. It is also difficult to speak to the mechanic who did the work on your boat at BPS, too. You have to go into the shop area and try to find the individual. I have "souped" up my Tracker and have also added some great Lowrance electronics. In fact, my electronics are better than some of the Rangers, Bass Cats, Skeeters and Tritons in my bass club. PM me if you want to know what I have done. As for price, it was take it or leave it. We went to USAA for the boat loan and paid it off in two years. USAA has great interest rates but you have to be a USAA member via being an officer in the military or an NCO. Please shop your loan with some banks and credit unions and compare the interest rates, etc. with the boat dealer's plan. Trackers may not be big and beautiful nor can they go 100 miles per hour, but put us on a river and we can go where no other boats can go. Just be mindful of the tides. ;D

One of the highlights at any NASCAR or Indy race is the fly-over by our military aircraft. I have seen helicoptors, C-130s, jets of all types and the Stelth Bomber. However, at the Richmond NASCAR race on Saturday, May 3, we had the Blue Angels perform a fly-over that not only was out of this world but it made you proud to be an American. The five jets came in low over the racetrack from the north in perfect position with the white smoke eminating from their wing tips and they did a beautiful manuever over the racetrack by separating perfectly in a "flower" pattern. Simply breathtaking. Magnificent. I congratulate the Blue Angels for a spectacular fly-over. And the race was fun, too, with Hamlin going down with a cut tire and then staying out to let Kurt Bush catch up with Junior and then having Bush wreck Junior to have Clint Boyer scoot around the accident to win the race.

Now that you know his secret it is probably best to stay out of the situation as you can't win if you confront him or tell his wife. Otherwise, how was lunch?

Use a LONG SHANK #4 or #6 gold hook for bluegills and bream. The LONG SHANK hooks make hook removal easier. Look at the bard's size and decide which size best meets your needs. And you will know when they hit your bait as they usually hook themselves. Good fighters, too.

Are you sure that is not the same fish you guys are holding in each photo???? Did you try that Amish pond? If so, let us know how you did. And your shirt is too clean to have caught all of those fish. You need to get dirty and smelly when you go fishing.

You all may do better on the upper Rapp. With rain in the forecast for Thursday and Saturday the Historic James River may not be the best place to fish on Saturday. I like the Pony Pasture when you can see the rocks and there is a slight current. Throwing an orange head jig with a motor oil twin tail grub can be a a lot of fun along with a small white grub on a 1/64 jig head. You can catch smallies, bream, bluegills and largemouths at the Pony Pasture if the conditions are right. It is a great fishery. Just be careful where ever you all decide to go.

Sorry, but I have not fished Buggs in a month so all of my information is out dated. We did do well at the mouth of Island Creek throwing a C-rig with a creature bait into the rocks and stumps in early April. Charlie knows Buggs so do what he says. And we expect you to win and kick Basspro48 all over the place if he is fishing in the same tournaments!!! ;D Good luck and let us know how you did, etc.

Excellent! Thanks for posting. I tell the high school kids that come by our LSU recruiting table at the various college fairs that there is nothing like a Saturday night in Tiger Stadium. Electric. That's all I can say. Electric. The Virginia Tech fans who traveled to Baton Rouge for the Tech game last year are still talking about their experience in Baton Rouge. They say there is nothing anywhere that can parallel LSU's Tiger Stadium on a Saturday night. Great video.

Fishing is an interesting industry. You meet so many nice people both above and below you in talent and interest. Meeting new people; making life-long friendships; and enjoying each other's company is a big part of bass fishing. I guess that is why we are "family" on the forum even though we will never meet each other. Great story. I sincerely hope you can show that young man some secrets. You have made a new friend for life which is a big part of our bass fishing interest.

I was at the race and we were so disappionted when Denny's tire went flat. Then, we were exceited about Junior winning another Richmond race that when Kyle took him out it really deflated some of the crowd. A friend told me that two Virginia State Troopers were assigned to get Kyle out of the race track safely after the race. It was a fun race with a surprse ending. Glad Boyer finally got his second win of his career.

Hey Daviscw, I am actually an Appy State fan and I am so glad they are playing LSU in Baton Rouge. I sincerely hope you can make the trip. There is no place on earth like Tiger Stadium on a Saturday night. Should be a fun game, too.

I drove by the Pony Pasture and down River Road to the Huguenot bridge and here is what I saw. Lots of people on the rocks having a great time. Some people in the water. River is still high. Current is still a little strong, even on the Huguenot Bridge side of the islands. I did not check the water temperature. So for next weekend you all should be in great shape as the river slows down and the water temperature rises. Wear your PFD and watch out for each other and have a fun time. I found out tonight that my son and his wife are riding on the LSU Mardi Gras float in the Bon Air parade that morning so there go the rest of my Mardi Gras beads. Sorry I can't join you all be I can't wait to hear your report.
