I see where you are coming from bassmasta but really,he's done nothing wrong.I really feel this was done to distract Ankiel.Not that it was the city of New York but the writer and editor from the paper. HGH was not banned from baseball in '04.He had a legal perscription.He has rights that make it where he doesn't have to talk about it.He was recovering from Tommy John's surgery.The HGH was supplimented to speed up the heeling process.No,the old timers didn't have this option.That is were it is unfair for guys now days to use it. Ankiel is not saying much until he makes sure his P&Q's have been checked.He will make a statement when it is time.

Muddy,if I would start thinking like this I would save alot of money.When I have a slow fishing day I go to running all over the lake and at $3/gallon at 3 mpg....well you get my point. Just like Muddy to bring the funny!Good jokes,sir!

I use a bouy marker too.As long as that marker stays put,which I add extra weight to mine,you shouldn't have any trouble as long as you know how to fish that spot.High winds and rough water can make it more complicated but with experience you learn. I fish a deep hump that if you don't fish it just right you'll miss the fish.I also fish other spots that are much more forgiving.I also fish ledges where I need to move paralell to the drop because it has more than one sweet spot.Fish may relate to structure differently at different times.One day they're on top of a ledge,holding to cover,come back later and catch them down on the side.When I am out checking ledges I will usually start out in the deep throwing toward the shallower ledge making sure I present my lure all the way down deep.Then if I feel I need to move closer or even up on top,I will do so.

Yeah,I had to.I was just playin'. Anyway,I think the bleeding bait series is just hype.Some people will swear by red hooks and whatnot but I haven't noticed any better results,while using them.

I have had some hard times this Summer.My wife was was injured by my 2 year old daughter.Gracie poked her right in the eye tearing her cornea.She was in pain and could not see well for 10 days.I had to make up for her down time.Keeping up with 3 kids is tough by yourself.I tore the lower unit out of my boat,insurance is got me covered though,I have missed a month of fishing.Then when my wife gets better she goes to visit her sister with the kids,so I go hang out with the guys for a night and end up getting jumped on by a couple of drunks and receive some bruised ribs which I am still suffering from. Am I mad?Nope,I am still thankful that I have a healthy family,freedom,and a roof over my head.When I feel like I want to pout,I think of our soliders overseas,kids in 3rd world countries,parents who lose their children due to illness or accidents.Though we may have hard times,they live hard lives. Alot of Americans these days have become "cry babies" because they are spoiled from birth.

I fish them in the Spring and Fall mainly. In the Spring,I fish them off rocky banks,points,and even in the shallow flats with a medium retrieve,sometimes I burn them,but usually just fast enough to feel the vibration.Usually from 1-6 ft. deep. In the fall,I fish them in the back of the bays around the grass.This is when I will burn em'(fast).Anywhere from 1-4 ft. deep. Like Vryon said,wind is a big help.

I have gotten on to a good senko,or senko type bait,bite this year.Ofcourse with me I have to try to perfect the pattern by tweeking my rig.I have been catching fish on weedlines and in the grass by t-rigging,using an 1/4 tungsten,senko(YUM dinger).The tungsten sinker comes through twice as good and much cleaner than the traditional lead weights,due to the smaller size.The extra noise may help as well but I don't know that for sure.What has been a bit of a suprise is that I have been t-rigging the lure backwards.By running the hook through the narrow,tapered end,I am also coming through cleaner.I have been using a 2/0 Gammy EWG.The shorter shank gives the lure a longer tail,freeing it up for more action.I have found this method to gain better results. Just give it a try!

Senkos are great but there are a couple companies who make these type baits that will hold up and still catch as many fish as do the Yamapaytomucho's.Try YUM's dinger and I have yet to try *** but will soon,I have heard good things about them. Okay,I read an article about the Ankiel HGH accusations. It said he received shippments in 2004,HGH was banned in 2005.Rick had stopped receiving shipments in 04'.Sure if he test positive now then he should be suspended for the 50 days.But to me it sounds like he quit in time.So what's the fuss? Thing is,if he wasn't tearing the cover off the ball,this would have never been brought up.It has put a dark cloud over his head for sure,but I hope he continues to cream national league pitching.

Yeah,I haven't turned on the news yet but someone told me about the accusations of Ankiel using HGH.He really don't look like he uses growth hormone but you never know.I heard this was from 2004.I hope it doesn't cause a big stir.But,even though I am a Redbirds and Ankiel fan,if he's guilty let him be punished.CJ

Mulder's return wasn't the best but there were promising signs that show he will be back in top form,just give him a little more time.All he needed to do was get the ball down and he did some.The Pirates made him pay for anything up in the zone.They didn't miss a pitch.Most teams would have been a little more forgiving.The Pirates may be in last place but they are tearing the cover off the ball right now.

I didn't mean that you were disrespecting anybody,you are not.I meant that "I"wasn't wanting to show disrespect for disagreeing with your point on artificial lures.I feel it's not the lure but the angler.Sure some lures,such as crankbaits,work well without much effort in the presentation.But there will always be something the angler is doing to entice a strike. There are 3 reasons the Cards will win their division: 1.The Cubs won't run away with it. 2.The Brewers won't run away with it. 3.The bullpen. They are fished both ways.I mainly t-rig them.If I find that fish aren't holding on to them very well,I switch to a c-rig.

I don't want to show any disrespect.There are lures with better actions but I disagree with this statment .

First off,I am a tournament angler and use artificials 100% of the time.WTS,there is nothing wrong with using live bait.I just like the sport of selling something that is not real to a bass.People should fish to their own satisfaction.If catching a 5lber on live bait,is a trophy to you then good for you,you should be proud of yourself. As for your ?'s,pumkinseeds can be identified by there brilliant colors,especially the blue lightening streaks around the eyes.Just Goggle "Pumkinseed fish". As far as size,I would try 3"-6".A bass can and will eat as big of a pumkinseed you will catch.
