  1. I ship rods and so do Dobyns in 2 inch PVC. any hardware/big box store will have PVC and have them cut it to lenght. I do not know if you can get 3 rods in 2inch though, you might have to kick it up to 3 inch USPS is the cheapest and fastest way to ship. I can ship a rod, in PVC from arkansas to California for $18 bucks and it will get there in 3 days max. I have never had an issue with the USPS.
  2. seen a few of these vids and they are always amazing.........true meaning of desert flash flood. love me some nature.
  3. well played sir francho.
  4. that whole series of videos are good. It's a good look at who/what/how it all goes down.
  5. In matted heavy grass the broomsticks for flipping is required....... that said my stoutest rod is a dobyns dx745
  6. You know where he lives now!!!! Time to kick in his door! (The fish not the kid)
  7. My point was there are fanboys or a posse for any brand you want to name. So you really can't go wrong........ my senko reference was aimed towards the vs threads are kinda pointless, much like he senko threads. buy all you can afford and I bet it will be good enough gear to serve you well..... lews, shimano, or any other brand..... well except for ugly stick ha ha.
  8. toothpick is Old school, shove/wedge a toothpick in the hole of the weight and snap it off ........while it works I would be scared of it. I use the rubber t-pegs, I cant imagine a bobber stopper paired with a t-peg slipping, but that's just me.
  9. 1 Jobs? LMAO 2. damage from grass? yall act like the ENTIRE lake is matted up........ I am sure there are plenty of areas to swim and pleasure boat all across the lake, just like Pickwick and the rest of the TN River chain. before you tout your "2 points" you should round off to the nearest MILLION, the tourism/economic impact of a non grass Big G. Wont come back to this thread, cause if I do, I will pick up warning points or worse. Good Luck to all!
  10. I love my lews TP, I have also thrown the shimanos while someone else was in the boat..... I don't think I would change, but I am very set in my ways. Shimano has been around a long time, so has the Lews brand via different ownership. The lews are lighter. you cant go wrong either way, no matter what the posse tells you. personally, I cant wait until the Lews vs Shimano threads get the "senko treatment" hahahhaha
  11. game and fish commissions and state agencies damage more trying to "help" than anyone EVER. why do the biologist not actually know biology? how do they not know how to grow big fish? how do they not know where big fish live? sure they say they "know" all that yet every policy ever implemented goes directly against the answer to the 3 above stated questions.
  12. everyone thinks its a joke, until they get caught. As I have said, I run a golf course for a living. I been trying to catch a few kids in the act. They have posted big fish pics they have kept, thus ruining the fishing for everyone else. Well, long story little less lengthy...... they decided to take a **** one night in one of the golf holes. They took a pic and posted it on instagram..........BOOM, GOT 'EM. Now the kid is in court; trespassing, criminal mischief, vandalism, destruction of private property. THAT is why we(myself and other golf courses) with many different reasons do not want kids or anyone else fishing, NIGHT OR DAY.Teenagers are stupid, and do stupid things. Then everyone else has to pay for it or clean it up. Past that, say hi to Roadwarrior when he stops by. IN BEFOE DA LOCK!!!!!!!
  13. Being a "young prodigy" and all you might want to grasp the langauge before drop shot. I wasn't trying to be a grammer hound. Your question/questions were blurred, and I wanted a bit of clarity. Oh well. I am glad your "question" got answered.
  14. Instead of a huge runon sentence with a question mark, can you state your actual question?
  15. I am glad I started to grow out my beard... since everyone having a full beard is getting new PBs!!! so it should be my turn tomorrow!
  16. I like my Dobyns DX742, works well with a core and 3/16oz heads. Dobyns DX702 finesse is another rod lots of guys like for shakey heads as well (which by the way I have one I could part with)
  17. ok then I do that.....well I should say I learned that lesson the hard way, LOL.
  18. maybe I know it as a different name or not at all, but would like to hear more details or link to an old thread please?
  19. color is not that big a deal IMO for normal wear ......I wear blue mirror and green mirror in the costas all the time. I think costa either has a grey, amber bases. If you are willing to search, go back and look for other costa threads and find what I have posted in the past. I have posted Costa's recommendations based on activity in at least 3 threads. good info about lenes, light %, lens base color.
  20. B*tch betta have my swimbait!!!!!!
  21. fueling the fire indeed!
  22. then you need 2 pairs of Costas! LOL. I never take mine off(have a few pair), so I always wondered by people just wore them on the water.
