  1. aint that the truth......
  2. My main point that may have been missed is this: DO NOT look at pound size, look at ".000" size. If you are using yo-zuri 4# you are really using 8# or 9# line by SIZE. what we really need to know from the OP is WHY he is needing to use 4# line? is it just because he is using UL setup or is there another reason. I use trilene XL a lot in 4# and 6# bream fishing cause its cheap, but any nick and POOF snap off. hence the reason I use tatsu, it is the smallest (on average) pound for pound diameter out there. but in a bream fishing situation I am not using tatsu because it is not cost effictive IMO. and I agree with Kent about the standards, but for someone to use yo-zuri and think it is a "true" sized 4# is a fallacy, IMO since you can get many 8# lines of the same size JMO, take it for whats its worth.
  3. knot problems with flouro is a dry knot problem MOST times. I can use a 15 wrap improved clinch knot with 20# line and never have issue with it, but there will be spit running down my lure I wet it so much too, LOL.
  4. size matters. which is why I differ from the yo zuri crowd. While I use yo zuri for some stuff, to say 4# yo zuri is great small # line is not the entire story IMO, as 4# yo zuri is the same size +/- .001 as everyone else's 8#.
  5. that's what she said.........eh, oh!!!!!!!
  6. always hard to tell......looks to be a typical 8# best I can tell.
  7. drags are like a Ronco rotisserie.........set it and forget it!
  8. WOW , glad I sold my used ones before this came up! heck of a price!
  9. I powerbomb a hookset too.......but looking at your avatar picture, I see broken rods in your future.
  10. HA! I am wanting to know what angle so I can continue to screw with him.
  11. funny thing is, my "scammer", well I emailed him back and told him to overnight me a cashiers check and once it clears he can pick up the boat. he then asked for my address to send the check. Now I don't know what angle he is working????
  12. link to you fishing report thread? how many did you have in your group to fish? Cost? I know the cost for 4 man group, but wondering if you had less. feel free to PM, as not to highjack further.
  13. I know , I know......it sucks though. With scammers abound, nothing can be simple anymore.
  14. very nice indeed!
  15. I had a text on my boat this morning asking if it was still available. I said yes, then I get this text: "I will be paying ur asking price but due to the nature of my job and location I will not be able to come for inspection, am very busy type as I work long hours every day. I have gone through your advert and I am satisfied with it. As for payment..i will be paying you via the fastest and secure way to pay online(paypal) I have a private courier agent dat will come for the pick up after the payment." I asked for his email, as I have a bunch more pictuers to send him.... he sent me his email to send the pics. Feels wierd but I REALLY need to sell this boat, LOL.
  16. I have an Opitma blue top for a cranker. trolling motors get the big interstate.....I compared every major battery out there on weight, RC, size, price, and the interstate came out on top. the Opitmas scare me because of RC...... many people love them. But for the price differecne I cant do it. Optimas are around $230 give or take, I paid $125 for my interstates. I fully expect to get 3-4 years out of my interstates, now to break even on the Optimas, the optimas would have to last 6-7 years. Will they? I dont know, but for my money I am not willing to take the risk.
  17. the IGFA is actually in the right here, in principle. it is the Arkansas Game and Fish that is the problem, they never got off their ass to certify the weight, unless the state does their job the international body cant do anything. in fact the "spreader bar" case is moot, until the weight is settled. The IGFA, I suppose is trying to just nip it by says "weight wouldn't matter anyway since the lure aint sanctioned" sucks, and sad but true. I feel for the guy, but aint much the guy can do, until the AGFC stamps it.
  18. probably a sizable algae bloom going on, at least that's what is it when ponds look like that at my golf course.
  19. I like it all......call me a kid, but give me a bucket of Crickets and an UL spinning rod, with some big bedded up Bluegill and I am in heaven.......
  20. those look badass! not so sure 'bout that pricetag though....
  21. I have always bought off recommendations of Richard and Gary....BUT I still say the DX is the better line for "contact" baits. Now I say that, but have not fished a bottom bait on a champion line in a long time. that 733 IS THE PERFECT, and I mean PERFECT 3/8oz spinnerbait rod and even 1/2oz really but I think the 734 is better on 1/2oz spinners. even with all that said, Dobyns make such great crossover rods, you can use them for just about anything in the weight range. now go check your "play money" account cause all you gonna want is more now, LOL
  22. LMAO , I guess I am the one not paying attention to the video!!!!! where I came up with AZ I dont know.....guess I had Pheonix on the mind. On the other hand, I guess I should be glad my foot fits my mouth huh? HAHAHHAAHA LONNNNNG summer on the golf course this year is my only defense, will you buy that?
  23. fair enough...... I think we can all agree we wouldnt want to swim in it, or at least I wouldnt. LMAO
  24. fisherman relocation program or Hoffa style in the quarry.........his choice. (I know I know bad joke)
