  1. I have lived in 2 states(Ohio & Illinois) that were 'SLUG' only hunting. I had the old smooth bore Ithica Deerslayer in the '70s and it did a good job for me. I have had a Mossburg 500 with a rifled barrel that would not hold a tight pattern reguardless the type of slug I used. I was also intrested in the new Deerslayer III. I had a friend of mine that is a gun dealer call Ithica and inquire as to avilability and price. Suggested retail on the new Deerslayer III is $975.00. Ithica told hime they would be available in Oct. I bought a new('64 vintage never been shot) Remington 1100 for $375.00 at auction and a Cantilever (sp), rifiled Remington Barrel on Ebay for $166.00 shiped. I haven't shot it yet but this is going to be my slug gun. I am luckly enough to live in Southern Illinios where HUGE racks abound so am looking forward to both Bow season and Slug season. Kelley

I was rudely awakened at 2:00 AM on the 2nd of this month with SEVERE back pain. I have had nine back surgries and cronic back pain so thought that was the problem but nothing I could do would make the pain go away. I called my family Dr. about 1:00 PM and he told me to go to the emergency room at our local hospital. To make a long story short I have kidney stones in both kidneys. They have not done anything about them yet. Still trying to figure out what is the best approach to solve the problem. Anyone have any tips? I am 'JONESIN' to go fishing. Kelley
  4. I thought the rule was: "Any fish that gets away automatically doubles in size." I thought this was the stanard rule of lost fish. ;D ;D ;D Kelley
  5. Buy the biggest TM you can afford. It is better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. Kelley

  9. Heres another tip on how to keep the trailer hook on. Use a hole punch to punch small round circles from colored plastic lids that come on cans(ie. peanuts, cashews, ect, ect), use a sharp ponited tool(I use an ice pick) to make a very small hole in center of circle to be able to start your hook. Also I use Catfish Hooks(large eye) fpr Trailer Hooks. Much cheaper to go this route. I always sharpen the Catfish Hooks. Kelley
  10. There are 2 ways to attach the hook. 1 is to put the eye of the hook into the tubing and then on the bait's hook, the other is to put the hook on the bait's hook and then put the tubing on the bait's hook so to hold the trailer hook on.
  11. Thanks for the replys Gal & Guys. I have a Club Classic comming up in OCT on the same lake so will try to do better. Kelley

Deb, I caught a drum around that size in the Triton Tournament down there a few years ago. While fighting it I was praying it was a bass. ;D Kelley

  23. Jaystraw, I caught my PB, 8lb 9oz at Lake Fork last March while at the Bass Resource Outing. I hooked her on 'back to back' casts. I had caught 4 or 5 5lb'ers and had not retied and when I hooked her the first time she broke my line.(my mistake) I tied on another hook, baited with another BPS Sticko, cast the same snag I had got the bite before and hook a fish. When I got her in she had 2 Stickos and 2 Gamakatsu weedless finese hohs in her mouth. BOTH MINE. Kelley
